  1. Looking for someone willing to pick up a cb system for me and ship it.. The owner would prefer to deal locally and is unwilling to accept a paypal payment, makes me a little skeptical.. If you can help please email me @ norr3mi@aol.com or Call me 309-620-2855 thanks!
  2. Check with ultimate seats they have a nice set of armrest that are easy to install for trips and uninstall as well.
  3. I was working at Bridgestone Firestone on this day, many of us had a lot on our mind as our plant was closing and we were looking for new jobs the future uncertain for many. Many of us in Maintenance were veterans and I remember it took awhile to soak in as we were all in Disbelief. Many went off for awhile on their own, I remember driving home with tears in my eyes. May god continue to bless and comfort everyone both living and passed that have made sacrifices from that day forward. And may he give us the tools to rain vengence down on those that would so cowardly committ such acts on Innocent people...I will never forget!!!
  4. I as many others would be glad to make a donation, Please let us know as soon as you can if there is a paypal address of even snail mail!
  5. I did not get the pleasure of meeting Mark other that reading the wonderful tributes that everyone has posted. May Mary and her boys find comfort in all of the wonderful memories that made together.. RIP Mark!
  6. WHeWWWWWWWWWWWW I thought this was a family show!!!
  7. What can I tell you about Jason Ellis owner of Americas best Trailers? Well This year he donated a trailer for me to raffle off to beneift Central Illinois Riding Therapy( they Provide horse therapy for Kids with Down syndrome and Autism). I have know and dealt with Jason for several years off and on. His product is good and yes he seems to be hard to get ahold of at times. I am not sure how he sells some of those fiberglass trailers as they are knock offs of some of the high end trailers on the market.... Best of Luck whatever trailer you choose.
  8. Mike thanks for clearing that up for me I did not realize that. As you probably already suspected thus the post.
  9. Mike I dont run with a sissybar very often, so does that mean you have a set? By the way thanks so much for the Saddlebag rail end...
  10. Does anyone have a set of these that you would be willing to sell and could someone post pictures or email me Pictures of what they look like on the bike? Thanks!!
  11. Okay lets get to the meat and potatoes I am a tight ass!!! I paid $1150 for a trailer that would sell for $3000 grand. Thanks everyone problem resolved I did not need the pin as I have an older style with lock,But just like the newer one better.
  12. Eck I had thought about that but did not want to impose on someone. Their time, effort and gas would cost more. On the bright side Bushtec Contacted me today and decided to ship to me using USPS with tracking was $7 cheaper. I know it is not much but to me it is the point..
  13. I would buy elsewhere unfortunately no one else sales bushtec trailer heim Pins. I guess we are all different because i have had good luck with USPS. Not saying I have had any bad luck with any other Carrier either. Guess I will just have to suck it up and Pay!!
  14. I need to order a pin from Bushtec that would fit in a priority box USPS for $5.95, They will only use fed ex or Ups. Sales claimed that they had no way to track packages with Post office???? Anyway for a $49 part They are wanting $14 shipping. I don't mind paying I just feel that this is gouging....
  15. Hello any update on the Wisconsin Leaf Lookers ride this Year? thanks
  16. Fubar if you have a powered mike it will not work on your bike, it will plug in and you will be able to hear but you will not transmit. How many Pins in the cord? if there are more than five you can get and adapter from Airrider I believe. Take a pictures of the end of your curly cord plug that connects to the bike and post it.
  17. It is my understanding that Bob Star made comments at Star Days that they normally take 4 years to phase in a new bike but have expidited that process and will have a totally new venture out ion 2014. It will not be based on any bike that is currently in the line up. But until we see it and can feel it and touch it, it does not exist!!! As for Rick Heywoods comments I know the gentleman as well and he is not the kind just to pick things out of the air. now the big question How do they build a new venture that is competetive in price with what is already on the market? Did mama yama wait to long? How awesome though because when they do come out with a new one it will drive the 2nd gen prices down and you should be able to get a nice second gen fror $4500.
  18. It will come out with a completely different shape almost innovative and futuristic looking and they will call it The VICTORY!!!!!!
  19. Not far from there is a railroad museum/ resturaunt that is pretty good.
  20. Roll the way you roll However I have to say that I do not agree with the moron that was riding in front of me with a kid that could barely touch the passenger pegs, in shorts and no helmet. I myself would have a heck of a time dealing with the loss of my son or daughter because I dropped at a stop sign and they hit thier head on a curb or worse.
  21. Patti so sorry to hear of your lost our thoughts are with you!!
  22. I have been to Orlin's and he has a great location for Riding and Camping. There is a local motel that I believe we could make arrangements with. As for those that Camp Orlin's would be a huge money saver. Not sure about showers at Orlin's Place!! Would recommend a shuttlebus to run people from town to Orlins. Galena has it's advantages as well There are several large hotels there that could accomodate several with plenty of Parking, meeting rooms etc. Chestnut Mountain Resort has some of the best accomodations being about 9 miles from Galena and 17 miles from savanna Il. It is a nice ride from there to the motorcycle museum, Le Clair, Ia home of the American Pickers, and J&P cycles. This being said I do not know of Camping that is close to any of the facilities in Galena. Rick Heywood and I would be willing to run over to that area this week and talk to some of the hotels but would need some basic information to get started. 1). Is there a banquet and what is the typical per plate cost 2). What has been the average attendance over the last 3 years(I.E how many rooms are typically rented during rally?) 3). What are the tenative dates? 4). What additional rooms might be needed? a hospitality suit? 5). What has the typical room cost been over the last couple events? Per nite 7). Will we need a room for a vendor area? one of the riding orgs I am with has a lot of member vendors that like to bring their stuff and they also have a swap meet associated with it so you can bring items you are looking to part with. Let me know how I can help!!!
  23. Contact Charlie Greene 309-241-3565 Rick Heywood and I are both close friends of Charlie's He can set you up. It would probably be a Hannigan, but he does have access to 5 different trike companies.
  24. I hope we can hook up I have 12 bikes coming with me to stay from the 30th to the 3 in Harrison at the super 8.
  25. If you get ahold of Lois(L&M) in Time she will let you reserve the whole hotel for the week. Rick you forgot about the American Pickers shop there in Leclair, Ia. There is also a Super 8 in Savanna and a place called seven eagles for camping and the Mississip Palasades state park. As for up at Orhlin's Place I bet we could hook up with that hotel that we stayed at last time Rick! Good area up there either way... Many of you are not Star members but that rally is the week of 16 july in Pennsylvannia so please try to avoid conflicting with that for those of us that are involved with both.
