  1. I'm waiting for the person to reply to me and if they still have it I think I'll go for it - that's unless someone here talks me out of it!
  2. It runs and drives
  3. I was thinking of going around $1500 and then I figure it would cost me another 500 for auction cost and shipping unless I make the trip to go get it. I wonder what's in the box? Wish I lived closer!
  4. Been looking for a GPS and found a new Zumo 450 for $250. Is that a good price or should I stick with buying a nuvi 780 like I had planned? Thanks!
  5. I'm thinking about buying a wrecked Venture to fix up and try to make a few bucks. My son can purchase bikes through Coparts so I might have bid on the one in the link I will post. I will have some cost with shipping to Iowa and auction cost. Give me some ideas on what you think would be a fair bid on this bike. If someone on this forum is bidding on the bike I won't pursue it. http://www.copart.com/c2/homeSearch.html?_eventId=getLot&execution=e1s3&lotId=17766739&returnPage=SEARCH_RESULTS
  6. Been up that way many times! I may head back up to Huron for a college reunion this summer. The little college I attended is no longer there but they are trying to have a reunion sometime this summer.
  7. I know the feeling! We aren't any better here in Iowa! We are supposed to get snow again tonight and very cold til Sunday. Can't wait to get the bike out again but it will probably be March at the earliest. Hey, I went to college in Huron and remember those cold long winters!
  8. That's the direction I plan to go but no hurry as Friday's high is going to be minus 3! I think it will be awhile before I get the RSV out of the garage!! Maybe if I wait a few months the price will drop some.
  9. I had them on a previous bike and liked them.
  10. Rats - too late! Good buy! I've been looking at a reconditioned one for $225 but for that I might get a Garmin 780 or something like that.
  11. I had an 05 Ultra Classic and really liked it. It handles well in town but the RSV is a much better road bike. If you want to try a bike with the fairing mounted to the frame you might rent a Roadglide. They are sweet bikes too. However - I like knowing that I have 6 grand tied up in my 2000 MM with 13,000 miles on it and have a great ride.
  12. I love my Corbin - got it off Craigslist!
  13. I got ripped off on Ebay once and was thankful I used Paypal. They recovered my money! It is the only way to pay.
  14. Today's special on Amazon is the Nuvi 785T for $199. Does anyone know the difference between this model and the 765T that several of you already have? There are just too many models out there to figure out the difference!!!
  15. I would rather sell my 2000 MM Corbin seat to someone here for less than to put it on Ebay so here's it is! I have my tan seat in the classified with pictures listed at $150 but I'll sell it to one of our members for $100 plus shipping. The seat is a bit worn - missing a stud or two - has no backrest but has the slot - but I find it to be very comfortable. The only reason for selling it is that I found a newer one with a backrest that I bought. It would make a great Christmas present for yourself!
  16. Sweet ride - enjoy - ride it a ton!!!!
  17. Our prayers are with you and your family. I remember when my mom died someone said to my brother, "I'm sorry you lost your mother." His reply was, "I didn't lose her - I know where she is!" In Ps. 23 David reminds us that as we walk through the Valley Of The Shadow Of Death we will fear no evil - God's rod and staff will comfort us." It doesn't mean we don't have to walk through the vallley. It does mean we will get through this valley. Hang in there my friend!
  18. I finally uploaded some pictures of my seat - check the classifieds!
  19. I rode 60 miles today - Iowa riding on December 1st listening to Christmas music - does it get any better?
  20. I have a tan corbin seat without backrest in the classified section. I couldn't get pictures reduced so you can contact me and I'll send pictures and you will have better resolution. Price is only $150 plus shipping!
  21. It depends on his asking price. If he only wants $1,000 for it - then buy it!!! If he is near retail - then forget it - you can buy bikes all day long below retail.
  22. I was there several years ago and it is a family oriented rally which is very nice. I might be interested in meeting up there next September when they hold the rally.
