  1. I am thankful I can work at home tomorrow and not have to take a Vacation day. PTL for laptops and I actually get more work done at home than the office. Have fun plowing away - someday this too will pass!
  2. Awesome!! Look at the money you are saving - you can buy all sorts of neat stuff for your trike!! Hope you aren't getting the snow we are over here in Newton!

  4. I just think it would be cool to own both and to get a tan seat for the Roadstar. On the other hand - it wouldn't please the wife as much as me!!
  5. I think it would be cool to add a 2000 MM Roadstar to match my 2000 MM Venture. I wonder if anyone here has both.
  6. It may be ugly but I give the guy credit for being inventive. It is a cheap way for him to have something his wife will ride with him on.
  7. I don't know about the 700 but I just picked up a 920 used. When I plugged it into my computer - the update was about 100 bucks but that was also 4 future quarterly updates. I haven't done it yet but plan to in the future. Hope that helps.
  8. I heard back from the guy and he sold them already - it was a good deal and I was just too late. Oh well, I will keep looking!
  9. I had a 90 Suburu Legacy and it was awesome. My son thought it was ugly but I gave it to him for college and he loved it. You pay a bit more the Suburu's but they last forever. Great cars in my opinion!
  10. The guy wants $300 for passing lights and exhaust - I can't go wrong. I told him I would take them but I'm waiting for him to get back to me.
  11. A local has a set of BuB exhaust forsale. Who has them and what do you think of them? I'm seriously thinking about them. He had them on his bike for one season then sold his bike.
  12. I did the smart thing and ordered a Ram Mount. Now I'm just waiting for all this Iowa snow to melt!
  13. My luck it would fly off as I rode down the road! A ram mount isn't too expensive and worth the security!
  14. I bought a Tom Tom 920 off Craigslist today for only 80 bucks! Has bluetooth, mp3 player, and much more. I think I did well!!! Now to get a mount for the cycle!!!
  15. I agree - it has been a tough winter here in Iowa especially up where you are. After seeing what you are going through - I'm not complaining.
  16. try this: http://cgi.ebay.com/Hardwire-Power-Cable-for-Garmin-Nuvi-755-755T-765-765T_W0QQitemZ400052107649QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item5d24f6b981
  17. You are in my prayers!
  18. Freebird - I need you to come to Iowa and deal for me! Actually, I do my research and when it comes to getting a newer car - I'm armed and dangerous! I know the ropes well enough to not to fall for the add ons, etc. I just need to stop at a Kia dealership and have a good look at one. Today we are 1/2 of ice everywhere so I'm not venturing from home! Thanks for sharing your experience!
  19. Godlover - oh - that may be two words!
  20. Don - I've been reading up on the 2011 Sorento and trying to talk the wife into trading the Pacifica. From what I read it is an awesome new vehicle. I may go look at one but the Kia dealer here is very aggressive. I think you made a great choice!
  21. I've been on vacation so I've missed this forum! Anyway - my church people claim the reason there is a Pastor Parking only sign at the church is so I know which car I have. I have a tendency to buy and sell cars. But currently - I'm very content on what I'm driving and may keep it for awhile: Mine: 2006 Ford F150 Super Cab XLT with 50,000 miles - traded my Harley for it! I installed leather seats from the junk yard and love this thing. My wife doesn't like the dual exhaust though I love it. Mine: 1972 3 Door Chevy Suburban with air ride - and 350 fuel injected engine. Trying to sell it to pay off the Venture. Very nice for the age! Came as part of the Harley trade. I got the pickup and the Suburban for my 05 Ultra. Hers: 2007 Chrysler Pacifica - she loves it - I'm okay with it.
  22. I agree - it is much better to keep the creditor informed of your intentions and to show good faith on your part that you want to keep the bike or whatever. The worse thing a person can do is ignore the situation. Been there - done that when my first wife took off and left me with all the bills! I found it easy to work with the creditors - except for Sears! It was a great feeling to pay of $30,000 in bad debt without taking bankruptcy. The key to most problems in live is communication!
  23. There's a street pilot 2730 in our local craigslist but it is 3 years old and they want $350 for it. Seems a bit high! I had a street pilot I let go when I sold my Harley. Did you do a Craigslist search for a streetpilot? I normally type in my search: craigslist streetpilot 2730 or whatever number I'm searching for.
  24. It was a Craigslist Ad so I replied and told the guy I only pay through Paypal to protect him and me - I could be a scam because I haven't heard from him. Once in awhile I find a good deal. For Christmas I bought my wife a 3 month old $950 embroidery machine for $400 on Ebay as the gal spelt Embroidery wrong. I'm sure she would have gotten more out it with correct spelling but she seemed happy to sell it at that! I'll just keep looking because we can't ride in Iowa anyway! I'm working from home once again due to the lousy weather! Next week I'll be in Texas though - at a Racers For Christ conference!!!
  25. Wow - I've had several cars that were salvage title and had no trouble getting full coverage insurance. When my son wrecked his tracker the insurance company paid him full price and I told the agent that it was salvage and we would be okay with less. He said, "You pay full insurance so here's the check!" Black Owl - yeah - it would have been great to have someone look at it. We have a Coparts 30 miles from here. Wish the bike was closer.
