    thanks guys. I did think the leak was from the hole in the head because of the rust but now I see it is in fact the plug in the case that is leaking. I tried one of the cheats listed but will get a new one on order ASAP. thanks again

    The Road Star brackets work fine with a bit of trimming around the headlight. The mounting points are the same.

    I lowered the rear the full 2" but it bottomed out too much so I went up to the 1.25" or something like that. The front fork tubes I put up to the handlebars but they bottomed out too so I went back to about 3/4". Also make sure the air in the shocks is at the proper pressure.

    I ordered a 2002 VMAX diff off ebay but when it came I realized it does not have the speedo hole. Does anyone know what years have them and what years don't? thanx

    to those of you who HAVE changed your mufflers, did you have to cut the originals off. All connections on mine seeem to be welded. Any idea if this is original? thanx

    Starting a little closer to home, I'd suggest crossing at Sarnia since Detroit seems to have a never ending highway construction project going on.

    I just took the ownership, safety certificate and proof of insurance to the MTO and they gave me a plate just like buying a car. I read your post again. Did you buy the bike in Quebec? Is that why you have to do the export thing?

    Hi guys. When I got my bike last year it had brand new front rotors on it and the brakes were not very good. I asked and was told it would take a few hundred miles for the pads to seat nicely. I put on a couple thousand and am still really disappointed with the front brakes. The back will lock up easily and does too often because I think I am over-compensating for the fronts. The odd thing is I've read that some people find the fronts very touchy. So, what is your experience?

    Wasn't me. I just got the bike last year. I believe they are stock for the Tour Classic so I don't think these are your bags.

    I'm pretty new to this but from what I've read so far the 180mm you have read about would have been a car tire. No-one has been able to fit a 180mm motorcycle tire on our bikes. Just not enough room.
