I have one and like it. It is soft but I do not remember any grommets at the bottom,it has a stretchy band at the bottom and fits very snug around the entire bottom.(Fits over exhaust and fenders and saddlebags) It is a little bulky compared to some of the aftermarket covers but IF you take the time to store it properly its not too bad..Overall IF you got the money its a perfect fit...Keep it out or off grassy area though as the fabric attracts grass and grassburs VERY easily.

Well I got in from our little town today and while I was there some film makers were in the town square..To my surprise they are remaking the film "True Grit" here and around Blanco,Texas. I guess one of the resons may be the connection with actress Shelly DuVall who lives here in Blanco..I guess thats whay they picked it?? Anyway I am going to find it hard to think that a remake will be better than the original...There just aint no other than John Wayne! http://www.blancocountynews.com/ Added this link for just a small bit of Info I found..Not much about it but states the Actors..Scroll down to "Hollywood comes to Blanco"

Very nice...As soon as you can dump the original tires for Elite 3S or Avon Venoms and you will see a whole new bike..If I were to recommend one over the other Id go with E3S ONLY because of a FEW Avons splitting on the sidewall..as soon as that problem is resolved I will go back to Avons hands down. Your bike will feel 100s of LBS lighter when you do change out the tires. Lots of good members up in that area so get together with them and most can show you how to do alot of the simple maintenance tips. Congratulations! Tom

No bullets , Knives either. Passport use to not be needed but I would check first.. Make sure that you dont have even a SINGLE bullet somewhere in the Auto or bike...Can carry out a small amount of prescription drugs but no narcotics.

Tom replied to Bigfoot's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk

Opinions on clutch issue
Tom replied to Bigfoot's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
I am assuming they DID change the fluid and bled it the correct way...I will bet the clutch spring is your culprit..PCWracing.com he will fix you up. -
Dave,Its OK..Synthetic will mix. High mileage vehicles will sometimes start leaking oil after the change so if it does simply chnge back to Dino oil and it will stop. Ive changed it in a few bikes that had50000 miles on them to Synthetic and never a problem BUT there is always someone that has had the problem. I use Amsoil 20/50 wt mainly because of our extreme heat in South Texas but Mobil! is just as good if not better..I have NEVER had a clutch issue with using Synthetic but some claim they have. You know how to resolve a clutch issue with the PCW racing spring. Tom

I noticed the SIZE of the riders also...30 inch inseam 5ft 7inches.so on..makes a big difference . Goose is right in on the head bearings also..AND Tires do not necessarily need to go to a 130 front just put on Elite3s or Avon in STOCK sizes and that made night and day differance to me.

I will see if any interest in making this an annual 4 day Mini Rally..there is just too much too see and do on a weekend trip. Mid November is about the best time to visit, cool mornings, upper 40s, highs in upper 60s,low 70s. If you are interested in riding out there I do it several times thru out the year but as I say IF there is interest I will start work on a yearly meet. Brian Mentioned earlier about Sturgis before the Sturgis rally BUT its just too far for alot of our folks here in Texas where Big Bend can be done easily in a days ride. ALL comments WELCOME AND this would hopefully draw in a few of our Canadian friends that want one last ride before "Winterizing" Tom

Not to contradict but I use Amsoil Synthetic 20/50 MC Oil and have been since 2004..Never a problem on slippage, however I am still gonna change out the clutch spring as I Know it will need it sooner or later...especially since I pull a trailer. I wil;l get mine from PCW Racing.
