  1. Seaking,Glad you found some and YES next ride you will wonder if something is wrong as it will be smoother and seems to run as you say more spirited. BTW,You still want those other 2 cans? They will be in next Thursday but unless its early I wont ship till Tuesday of following week as I will be on the Big Bend Trip...Oh Yea you dont have to stop riding in 2 weeks......Just come on down to TEXAS
  2. His kick stand looks professional too! Ive seen it..I need a friend like he has for sure. Tom
  3. I used the whole can with a full tank of fuel run it about 120 miles and let her sit overnight then went and fueled it up again and almost instant diffference ...NEVER ANY PROBLEMS....AT ALL with anything on the bike. Goose could not believe how clean the inside of my carbs were at nearly 30000 miles...Again I just post my results and yes I have a few extra cans I sell but ONLY because I buy off ebay in Bulk to save me money. Its a lot of monet retail but it is the only thing I use now that I Know is proven to work. The most noticable thing you will notice will be smoothness in engine, then it SEEMS to be more responsive..Get down on it hard and you will see what I mean.
  4. Ive been using it about 2 years..maybe longer..I just rarely recommend anything. It has done nothing at all but make my bike run better. I AM NOT IN THE BUSINESS OF SELLING THIS STUFF BUT I buy off of ebay ALOT and get it at affordable prices...I now have 24 cans if anyone interested as I am keeping 6 cans for myself. PM if interested $15 a can
  5. I MAY be buying a case...will let ya know if I get it..If so I will offer it at a very fair price..just haveta see how it goes in about 2 hours..Stay tuned...
  6. I put a whole can in and run about 75 miles or so ,let it sit overnight and that does it...I do not know how it works as far as "Winterizing"as Ive never had to do that. It works extremely well though for keeping the system clean as V7Goose will back me up on that..the inside of my carbs looked brand new and it runs better than the average Venture that hasnt used it...and yes Ive used sea foam, just like the 44K alot better BUT,it is MORE EXPENSIVE and NOT KNOCKING SEA FOAM.
  7. Glad you had a ball Thom! Yep the Sisters is Spectacular..Just remember I am off every other week and IF Debs Mom pulls thru this I will be riding with you..Welcome here anytime. Tom
  8. He must still be In our Hill Country....
  9. Thom, Hope you guys made it back from the Sisters.. Sounded like you two had a Blast Sorry about not meeting up but you know the story..Anyway glad you liked my part of TEXAS!
  10. Yamaman..I bet you will be amazed with this stuff. Usually see the best results after you put it in and ride awhile then let her sit over night..The next day you will forget about it but IMMEDIATELY think something is wrong as smooth as it is and general feel of engine. Ive used it awhile but always reluctant on recommending anything in a can. My Mom has a dually dodge diesel and I went to San Angelo Yesterday and it was smoking black smoke so I bought a can of BG 244 (Diesel Version of 44K) and after 24o miles let her sit over night and this AM we went to Hico Texas....NO MORE SMOKE AT ALL, engine smooth as silk...She is totally shocked..Dodge place wanted $375.00 to do an Injector service...The BG 244 was $45.00 for a quart ( Diesel Formula) Well worth it!
  11. I doubt this will halp as you are going to get so many responses.ALL are not perfect but the Garmin Zumo FOR A MC is about as good as you can get.Ive had mine 1.5 years and no problems. Now tha being said others have had some problems and others are going to disagree BUT do as I did and read ALL reviews and Garmin overall comes out ahead. Let the fun begin.....

    new texans

We will be seeing you two! So much to see! Welcome over here ANYTIME!!!!!
  13. I will add one more thing..take a day off in Ouray and rent a jeep and take the...roads,(Pigtrails,not much of a road but need 4wd) The jeep rental places can guide you in the right direction. Not accessible on a Venture, dirt bike,YES. It is WELL worth the money to rent the jeep as you will go to the top of the mountains there and some are over 14 thousand feet. Search yuo tube for some fantastic video, just search ouray,co black bear pass. DO NOT RENT THE JEEP IF SCARED OF HEIGHTS AND T I G H T places!
  14. Spectacular..Awesome..Breathtaking..on 550...Just ride and enjoy probably the most spectacular scenery in the country.
  15. Only thing on the battery issue is he says 12.7 volts showing at battery..this should be enough to have radio lights etc..I am thinking the dreaded Ignition switch failure..Just my guess.
  16. Thom give me a buzz,I will be getting off work Sat AM early..May ride out and say hello..Tom
  17. IF I am not mistaken you have to pull out from the front..been awhile but im 80% sure
  18. We have lots of room down here in Texas for you all to stay..The cold may hold you up but if you want to put it on a trailer we can get em installed and have a great ride thru our hill country..Just a thought!
  19. I use the carbtune also and if you clean the rods on occasion it reduces the drag BUT I am going to sell it and buy the gauge set up...Havnt listed yet but $50.00 will get it plus shipping.
  20. Dang Curtis..you did that better than I can do it!
  21. HERB,I dont care which one you ride to the Texas Meet...Just be sure and make it! We have margaritas to sip and lies to tell...I may even help ya ride one of them... Take care my friend see ya soon..Tom
  22. Be safe you two..If you need any help or anything I am off this week..Just a DR appt Friday. Off every other week so keep it in mind..also IF you need to come to San Antonio area to look there are a couple of rooms here if you need a place to have a basecamp!
  23. I dont really care what people ride. The guy that left the website is and always will be a friend and he emailed me to let me know he was gone..I wish he would not have left but I will keep in touch with him. I think alot of this is in fun but I can see where it would get old.To me its about the friendship....I could have gotten offended the other day at The Sunset Cafe here in Blanco as a BMW MC was parked and I pulled in beside him and parked....He was on the patio walked over and moved his BMW to the other side of the road and parked there..Go Figure? Separate parking spaces ,plenty of room..Oh well.
  24. One more thing..I just noticed it is a New RSV....Read the threads about steering head bearings in tech section...I would bet money it is loose and it will definitely make this thing wobble around..It is easy to do yourself and Yamaha will tell you they are in specs so they will not do it. I havnt seen one yet that is tight as it needs be. There is a simple test to determine if it needs just a very little tweaking. I will try and find it and let ya know. Tom Here ya go: [ame=http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=511]Tightening the Steering Head - VentureRider.Org[/ame]
  25. I am currently running the Elite3S so I cant see recommended pressure on the front tire but when I ran Avons I think the pressure was a little higher than 36 in the front..check that first. However alot will disagree about running the pressure on the sidewall but I got nearly 16000 miles out of the rear on my Venom and the front was still on great shape but changed it anyway. As far as cold,we dont get that much cold but when Ive been on trips Ive started out in 18 degree weather and 26 degree with falling snow and never had a problem being all over the road. (Wet Snow)
