    Another reason I'll stick with the 1st Gens. Have to do them yourself. Can charge yourself what you want.

    Guess I didn't know how good I got it. It is a big chunk of the retirement check. My place didn't advise me of my options like they were supposed to. With last couple of years insurance may not want me but I think they have to let me keep it.

    I can understand replacing (1) shift segment - 4NK-18185-00-00 but is it necesary to replace pins if they don't look worn or bent?

    I think this parts list should be in our Tech Library. I probally won't mess with mine til 2nd gear time. Not that far away but having parts list of what you need to replace then would be nice.

    Sounds like I have some checking to do. My retirement is medical with the leg. Sailed thru Social security without a glitch. My State retirement (worked for state) is dragging their feet but don't see any problems with it they are just slow. I get out of the ratrace a couple yrs early if I can take care of the medical. Hate to retire and have to go back to work.

    I've been paying 120 a month for a long time with the company picking up the rest. Didn't relize how good I had it.

    I know. I said that word but need some advice on this. If I retire I get a Medicaid Card or whatever it is from Social Security. Problem is Warden is 12 yrs younger than I am. It is going to cost me $537.00 a month to keep my health Insurance. It is very good insurance. I have to keep it on me and her to be able to keep it into retirement. I just need to cover her. Does this sound as high as I think it does?? I know people are paying a lot more I just don't have any idea how to shop for something like this. Getting rid of the Warden is NOT A OPTION!!!

    Yeah sounds like a good thing for the early 1st Gens. Whats the price of those parts couldn't be that much. Now if it would just cure 2nd gear.

    What is address to St Judes? Just wanting to know how to get there might get to make one of these years but not this year. Fighting with workplace and Insurance to get things settled.

    Pick-up coil maybe? This is the ones in the Strator housing. Lot of guys on here with more knowledge of this than I have. Just my thoughts because 2 of them are failing. Come on guys I want to hear this one too. And while we are here how important is it to maybe clean those Pick-up coils once in a while? Involves opening housing that could end up with leak but I have been wanting to do this one.

    Sounds like you are describing the shifting of my 85. Only 24k and I can make it skip in 2nd. And I'm always missing gears with that heel toe shifter. It just don't like to get in a hurry.

    Saw some nice 1st Gens lately. Not trying to stir things just that there have been a lot of nice Scoots on Flea- Bay lately 1st and 2nd Gen. But 1st Gens are a lot cheaper,faster,better looking, handle better....... I just couldn't help it!!!

    Good luck with the tests Gary. Glad you weren't hurt any worse. Prayers on the way. It is nothing but Full-Faced Helmet for me anymore. I need all the help I can get!!

    I think she never hears a word I say and then she comes up with something like this. She told one of the in=laws not long ago "If it has 2 wheels he can fix it. If it has 4 he don't want to!!"
