  3. :225:That joke was not funny at all:225:
  4. haaaaahahaahahhhaaha. That was too good!! :rotf::rotf:
  5. OK, since I don't understand Canadian humor. Is Newfoundland supposed to be a better state or a worse state? Gimme some help here. Because I don't know the regions of Canada well enough to think that's funny. So, you might have to explain to us Yanks a little more. Thanx
  6. I've been in the Navy since 1999, and A LOT has changed. The drinking, has not changed one bit. People just have to be smarter about it, now-a-days. But, it's still waaaaay out there...
  7. I'm in the Navy right now, and we are constantly playing games on new guys (usually Marines). You know, FNGs. Sometimes we ask them to go to other shops to get left handed screwdrivers, or ten feet of "flight line". The best thing is when we tell them to find some ID-10-T to clean the shop. It's hours of fun to see them go from shop to shop looking for that stuff. HOURS AND HOURS of fun!!!
  8. I can't remember ever laughing so hard. The first one was the best (EVER)...
  9. I've met many Russians in my life. They have more, um, rhymes with "Falls", than brains sometimes. I give the guy props, though, no pun intended!!
  10. that was awesome.. Thanx for the laugh!!!
  11. They probably live in Louisiana.. I know two that fit that description!!!
  12. Nothing like a caddy that tells the truth!!!
  13. that's not how I remember that joke. It had something to do with blowing bubbles.
  14. This bike weighs A TON, until you take it over 5 MPH, and then it feels like you're riding a Vespa. Very light, and easy to control. I just went through the cones at my local course (just for fun), and I went through them like they were a mile apart. You shouldn't have to worry. You'll be scared for the first week, then it'll feel like you're riding a 883 Sportster!!! But a lot better, lol!!!
  15. Sorry, but I'm confused. When you say LA, do you mean L.A. or Louisiana? If so, I'm in LA(Louisiana). unfortunately, stationed here for another 3-4 years...
  16. That's kinda what I'm talking about, guys.. Those look pretty cool. I still don't know if I want to just re-paint the red (chips are forming) and just go with some light ghost flames... I'll keep looking.
  17. StarFan and StrayCatt, I couldn't agree with you more. The division of the two (very) close reds was a great idea from Yamaha. Also, I am inclined to agree about how that might be the best color combination for a stock motorcycle. However, when I ride with someone that has a very customized bike, I look like I'm borrowing this stock bike from my dad, lol... I just wanted to spruce it up a little. Like I said, I like the color red. Maybe just a little more dazzle. Nothing too overboard. Just a little something extra... I thank you two for the compliments on the color, and StrayCatt, I get compliments on it, as well. I just don't want to blend in that much!!
  18. One of my buddies has a Harley Fatboy (he's not too bright). But I didn't see his bike all last year. I asked him why isn't he riding, and he said, "you'll see". He came to work all this year with such a bad a$$ paint job, he made all of us want to paint our bikes. The truth is, with a regular bike (without the saddle bags, front fenders and touring pack), it's much easier to design and paint something cool. But with all the extra stuff on the Venture, I think it's harder to keep clean flowing lines. I've looked at 3 other posts that have a few custom paint jobs. Some I like, some I didn't care for. I'm a simple guy. Maybe flames, but everyone has them. I'm not much for murals. Two tone might be my best answer. I have a 2000 RSV with the red on red color. Does anyone have a custom (even if it's slightly custom) second generation RSV they'd like to show off. I'd love to get some ideas. I'm leaning towards candy red with an ostrache seat. Any pics will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!
  19. forgetting that it's April Fool's Day, I actually thought this was true. I was going to take pictures of my bike so I can put it on craigslist... Thank god you told the truth at the end!!
  20. If you start her out young, and give her good habits, she'll be a great rider. And it'll be awesome to go for a bike-night, with the whole family...
  21. It's a blue angel F/A-18. http://i384.photobucket.com/albums/oo284/ravilled/f-18c2.jpg http://i565.photobucket.com/albums/ss93/Neilly105/315A-10.jpg
  22. I used to be a recruiter (a good one, not one to lie), and the important thing is (not to get too detailed in your business), why is he separating? Probably the most important thing is his "DD214" or separation paper. There will be a separation code (also known as the Re-Enlistment code) at that will tell you a lot about his discharge. I'm only saying this because depending on the RE code, he might not be able to get any decent job. I'm sure your son is a great young man... And I am not saying anything about him. I'm just trying to educate those who have never been in the service and are reading this. Ok, back to the lesson. With a re-enlistment code of a RE-4, that's what we call a BCD. BCD isn't a Big Chicken dinner, but a Bad Conduct Discharge. That means the person has done something dishonorable, and the military branch found him/her unfit for military duties. So, they let him/her out with a kick in the booty. Sometimes, good people do bad things. The military recognizes that, and they give them either a "other than Honorable", or a "General discharge". Those are usually RE-3. In those cases, not only does the RE count, but a three digit alpha-numeric digit that gives you an idea of what happened (disrespect to a superior officer, failed physical fitness tests..." That code is called the separation code. The reason I put all of that down, is because if he has a dishonorable discharge or a bad conduct discharge, the chances of doing most decent jobs are slim to none. That includes any police, gov't, city or state jobs. That doesn't slam the door shut in his face. It just limits the opportunities. If he got an other than honorable or a general discharge, there is more chances for him to get a decent job. Some of the reasons may include the fact that he couldn't pass a physical challenge due to a pre-existing medical condition. I also know a guy who didn't want to go back to Iraq on deployment (Army) and he told the Commanding Officer he is a homosexual. Because of the "don't ask-don't tell" policy, they told him to prove it. He went up to his Commanding officer, gave him a HUGE WET KISS on the lips. Next week, he was on a grayhound bus to Saint Augustine, Florida. That was a "General Discharge". Hope this helped. Let me know if you need anything else. I'm very familiar with many programs for Vets. Also, tell him to check out the VA (Veterans assistance) web site. Best of luck to him..
