  1. I live about 10 mins from the Kennedy Space Center. I use to handle the bomb dog and narcotics dog there before going back into law enforcement. Feb 26 was supposed to have been the last shuttle launch, but I now understand that Congress has aproved one more flight to take off in June. You all might want to check that out. If no one has seen a launch before, it is a sight to see. Just remember after the last one goes, there will be no more. Thanks to the Federal Government. Ken:95:
  2. If you are going to get an inclosed trailer, I would suggest one that is at least 12x7 so you can get around the sides of the trike kit. I have an open 12x6 and it works just fine. Ken
  3. I haven't had any problems with it. I don't travel down the road with the flag flying unless I'm in a very slow moving group for the PGR. As you can see, I have made a sleeve for the flag so it will stay as clean as possible. I also put some reflective tape (sewed) around the sleeve. There is really not that much pressure on the luggage rack. At least I don't think so. It was really easy to make. I got the adapter from Harbor Freight, also the red break light. The pipe and flange and the U bolts I got from Lowes. I also drilled two holes into the hitch adapter and put two bolts into it. I had to cut the plastic red break light so it would slide into the adapter. So far so good. Ken
  4. Here is what I did, and it works just fine for me. Ken
  5. I get around 35 with mine. I try to stay off the Interstates. Ken
  6. I've had my 04 triked since 08 and I would not go back to a 2 wheel. I have a Hannigan on mine. After about a month of having it triked you'll really enjoy it. It takes about that long to get use to it. The size, the way it turns, and finding the best parking lot. Little things like that. Ken
  7. Very nice, makes one want to get on and head out that way. Well done. Ken:Venture:
  8. Trike Riders - are there any trike riders out there that's going to the "Trike Riders International" Ralley being held at Branson, Missouri August 19,20,21? I'll be heading up to Indianapolis 8-15 to meet up with my cousin and some others and then head out to Branson. Below is the web site. Ken:cool10: http://www.trikes.org/rally2010.htm
  9. Lewis, Tell the "boss" that she will be in my prayers. I hope she has a speedy recovery and that she will be able to get on the back of the bike one of these days soon. Ken:fingers-crossed-emo
  10. Bob and his family have my prayers. Ken
  11. Pick, I don't know what your hitch looks like. I've been running it through my mind. If you have a flat part on the end of hitch where the ball attaches to, can you bolt on a flat rectangle pice of metal (maybe a quarter inch thick) and then bolt on a flange to put the 12" pipe into like I did mine. Then you can do what I did from there on. Just throwing something up in the air. Ken
  12. Thanks, I don't think I have seen very much about this and I was wondering if it was still on. I'd like to make resv. before too long. Looks like a nice place to have a ralley. I'll try to make contact with him. Ken:178:
  13. Thanks, I have around $25.00 or just a little more in the flag pole hitch. Ken:thumbsup2:
  14. Here is what I did for mine. I ride with the PGR at times when I can. I went to Lowes and bought a curtain rod (wood) varnished it several times. I bought a 12 inch pipe 1 and a quarter inch in dia. Got a flange adapter. A U bolt. and two bolts. I went to Harbor Fraight and bought an adapter hitch 2" to 1 1/4 inch. ($14.95). When I was at Northern Tool I found a stop light to go into the 2" hitch. ($7.95). While I was at Lowes I bought a can of black paint because the pipe and flange were galvenize (sp). I had a bicycle intertube and I cut it to a little over 12 inches. This I put over the end of the flag pole to keep it from getting scratched up. My pole is about 1 1/8" in dia. I had to cut a slot in the stop light plastic so it would slide by the bolts in the hitch. No problems with that, it works. I use 2 bungi cords that attach to the flag pole where the lower part of the flag attaches. Then I attach it to the trunk rack. Haven't had any problem traveling down the highway. I have a "sleeve" that I put over the flag so it doesn't get dirty while traveling to a mission. The "sleeve" has "firemans" tape sowed to it so it reflects lights from the rear. (Just another safety feature). Ref: the flag holding up at 70mph going down the hyway depends on how good of flag you get. I've included pictures of my flag pole. Ken
  15. I was wondering where is everybody staying at Meramec State Park in MO. It's going to be here before we know it. I was looking up some of the sites on the computer. I came up with this one below, but I don't know if this is the correct place or not. I also want to know if the dates are the same as what I copied. August 23rd - 25th. For the person that is setting this up, I plan on being there. 16. I got mine, I'm thinking about it, not sure yet. Sure would like to have that trailer. Ken:2cents:
  17. Lewis, It's nice that Charlene has that "happy button", but when she get's home she'll be wanting your remote. Becarefull! Once you give that up, you'll never get it back. Tell Charlene that we are praying that it was a done right, and that she will be back on the bike with you soon. Ken
  18. First of all I want to ask 1-UP were he got those add-on lower lights? (rear) Are they reflectors or working brake lights? send me a shout when you can about that! looks like they fit right in the right spot! Cougar, I got those lights at Northern Tool. I have them hooked up to my tail lights and brake lights. When I saw them I went ahead and bought them not knowing if they would fit or not. When I got home and tried them, it looked like they were made for the trike. I have seen them at other places. I don't know if Harbour Freight has them or not. Maybe Tractor Supply, you just have to look around. I drilled two holes for each light for the bolts to go through and one for the wire. After that they were easy. Had a little trouble wiring them. Ended up going to the Yamaha dealer who sold me the trike kit and had him wire them. That should tell you that I'm not very good at wiring. They sure put out the extra brake light when you need it. Hannigan should put them on all their kits when they sell them. (Along with the regular lights) Hope you enjoy your kit. It takes just a short time to get use to the trike compared to the 2 wheels. Have fun, and send us pictures. Ken:photographing:
  19. I have a Hannigan and love it. There is only a couple that will fit the RSV. I had mine switched over July '08. The "running boards" are an important thing if you get them. Which ever you go to, make sure that they are the ones that you can stand on. 1K off is a good deal on the Hannigan. Ken
  20. Bigfoot, Thanks for posting this. Ken, Master Trainer, NAPWDA
  21. Very well done, thanks for posting it. How do we get a copy of it? Ken PGR
  22. Any of you in Central or a little North of Central Florida or a little South, that would like to take a ride to Forever Florida through cow country - I would be glad to set it up from the Port St. John area. http://www.foreverflorida.com/ It's about an hour and a half from me. They serve a good lunch. Ken:stirthepot:
  23. Ponch, Don't be sorry, we appreciate what you are doing. Sure helps us from having a "trial and error" day of doing it ourselves. Ken:thumbsup2:
  24. Christmas, FL has a campground. It is east of Orlando on HY 50, and West of Titusville and the Space Center. WE have some good riding in the area. It's about an hour from Daytona, and hour from Disney, and Sea World. If you like I could try to get some information on the place to you and see if they have any openings. Ken:080402gudl_prv:
