Peg, this is the same thing i told my wife when she bought her shadow1100. If you dont buy it I will, and she bought it. She has never looked backand I'm happy for her. Ride what you like. Sporter, v star , shadow. It shouldn't matter. I ride with a group of Harley riders in my local town. yes they rib me and make fun of my 91 vr, but when they have to put theirs in the garage I,m still riding. Oh yea, with my best friend wright beside me becouse friends will come and go ,but my wife chooses me forever. David

All you really need to do is tie laundry softener sheets to the trees. Deer hate the smell and want come around. We do this to food plots to get them to maturity. Just cahnage the drier sheets out every so often. usually about twice a month will do. We usually make stakes and put a string around the food plot with the sheets on them, but being it has sustantial limbs the tree itself will work just fine. The other obtion is to invite me up for a while and I'll take care of the problem and feed us too. That is if you like venison.Just joking. But seriously try the sheets and good luck. David

Mufflers
painterman67 replied to Bill Feehan's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
What exactly is rusting. A pic would help. If it is the extention for the tips then you can get a sawsall, hacksaw,or some other device to cut the extentions of. I just finished this on mine and drill out 8 3/16 holes around the center pipe. Love the sound , so now I'm off to the muffler shop to have a turndown 4 3/4 inches inlet fabbed up and then chromed. When its all done I'l post up some pics and a sound wave if I can figure ouot how to do it. Pics are no prob just never posted a sound wave or video. David -
Turning left on a red when the light won't change.
painterman67 replied to juggler's topic in Safety and Education
first of all do they work? A second are they safe for the bike? I was looking in Lowes today and saw a huge magnet that roofers use to pick up nails on the jobsite. Was wandering what the side effects would be. I'm not a mechanic so I'll put it up to the group for consideration. Thanks for any info as I had to sit through a red light today four cycles before a cage pulled up behind me and set it of. I tried shutting the bike down, putting down the kickstand and rolling back over the trip wire several times. This is agrevating sometimes. David :confused07: -

yeah guess I'll just have to wait for a new target. Called all the dealors in NC and none have a combine in front of their dealorship. Apparently not a big to do item here. David
