  5. Just curios as to wich sid eit fell over on and how hard. If it hit the left side of the bike( stabding looking at the bike from the front left) and it fell over hard you might want to check the 90 degree plastic pipe from the water pump to the thermostate housing. Mine fell on this side and bent the crash rail in on it and cracked the pipe. At first check all lokked well until I cranked it and rode the bike. After she got warm I noticed quite a bit of coolant coming out in a stream. thats when I found the broke pipe. Good luck and hope your faired better than mine. David

  13. Now it did work for me. With that said it also scared the h##l out of me. Ive spent tweny years on a bike with no traing what so ever. Just got on and rode. I took about 3 or 4 months for me to calm back down enough to be comfortable on a bike again. Mostly learning the correct technichs. But what scared me was the constant overtinking . I was always concerned with where to look ar what to do after seeing the video. With practice that alll went away and my uturns are now cut in half David

  16. if this works then you will be able to see the pics Laura took this weekend. No where near as many as Bobbie but it will hold you over till George and Bobbie gets home. http://s569.photobucket.com/albums/ss133/painterman6709/ David
  17. yes ther is a repair. When you remove it take it to a welder(if you cant weld like I cant) and have them cut open the collecter ,remove or reweld the baffles and then reweld. While they have it give it a good look over as ther are a few places that tend to crack. What comes to mind on me is the mounting tab. If you can find a long needle nose pliers I have heard of peaple using these to reach up in the collecter with it still on the bike and twisting out the baffles. Good chance if it rattling its loose enough to be twisted up and be pulled out the back. When mine started doing thhis I was told all these same things. I was also told that you can ride the bike as it is with no ill effects on the bike other than the noise. this is what I did. After a few spirited rides teaching a couple of second gens what was up with my antique, it stopped rattling on it own. Good luck. Oh yeah as a afftre htought I have heard of a few peaple getting their carbs sinched and the sound went away also, but not sure if thats your problems as it gets pouder with the mufflers off. Good luck and keeps us informed as there may be someone in your area willing to help with this project if needed. David

  23. Was just bgetting ready to ask the same question. Also I get on occasion atheletes foot all the way up to half of my calf. Wasnt sure what was going on till I went to a dermetologist. He told me to put oldbond cream on my feet, goldbond powderin my socks and change socks at least twice a day in the summer or when ever I fill like I may have sweeted due to exertion. I have even found that I have to carry an extra pair of socks when i go hunting. Even though its freezing or below, your body still expels excess heta from walking and such and your socks will retain the moister. my father-in-law also told me to try to wear my socks inside out. he learned this in Vietnam and it really does work. If all else fails, then you can make a mixture of abking soda and water. I usually just put a little in the whirlpool type tub we have in the bathroom and soak. Almost anthing that itches will ease off and dry up with a few soakings. Never nessure how much just a little will do. A large box of baking soda usually get me 10 or 12 soaks or so. Hope some of this helps. David
