http://www.edsets.com They are the best I have used. I like the speakers they come with but they also have a jack where you can plug in earbuds if you prefer.

Here is a site posted by Flash41 in another thread that has just about any kind of video editing, audio editing, ripping software that you will probably ever need. All free. Great resource. http://dvdvideosoft.com/

Just got off the phone with Mike. I'm happy that we were able to work this out with no involvement from Jeff. Turns out, we didn't even need him in the middle of this. I do appreciate the tips Mike. Now I just have to get it done.

New cable no Cruise Control
Freebird replied to Seaking's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Yea, I actually had mine wrapped around the cam in the wrong direction. -
You know...I'm not even sure how Jeff got involved in this. I'm thinking that maybe I could just cut off his forum access until we are finished working out these details.

I agree with Kevin and tried the same things. I finally gave up after finding the Edsets.

Thanks...I'll give you a call. I see it being VERY labor intensive but I have more time than money. Actually...I don't have a lot of either one but that's OK. Heck Jeff...I don't mind buying him lunch....I would even buy YOU lunch if you ever showed up.

Well...it may turn out to be a disaster but I just picked up a spare set of the fins off Ebay and am going to see what I can do with them myself. I think I can do a decent job with my Dremel tool. If it doesn't work out, I will not have lost a lot of money.

There shouldn't be a valve that you tighten up. They typically have either the small pedal OR the valve that screws in and out to lower but not both. Since yours has the small pedal, it won't have the screw valve.

Modulator 2nd Gen Headlight...
Freebird replied to frogmaster's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I've got one and it was indeed a simple plug and play install. I'm trying to remember which manufacturer it was but am not sure. -
It has the large pedal to raise and the small one to lower, then I would agree that either the plunger on the small pedal is not coming back out or there is a bad seal or something on that small valve. I doubt it was overfilled, may be low now though.

Also, it still says on the Star site that a California model will be available in February 2010. That tells me that with some minor changes, they will still meet the EPA regs. I've heard this EPA rumor for several years now and yet the RSV still seems to be meeting it.
-
I guess you can't include me in the "we all know" group about the RSV. I have not heard that they stopped production in 2009. As far as I know, they are still being produced and have heard nothing else but rumors.

My first ride on a 2007 Midnight Venture

Well heck...I kind of had my head up....well....where the sun doesn't shine. I have the leveling links and they raise the bike about an inch. Then I saw you post about lowering your own bike and mixed everything up. I was thinking that you don't want to LOWER both ends but that is not what you are talking about. That being said, I just don't know how it would work to raise the rear and lower the front. To me it seems that it would be too much and the bike will actually be too high in relation to the front but to be honest, I've never seen anybody do this. -
Jerry, I just happen to know who your potential buyer is. Don't worry about it. He is perfectly legit. I just saw a post from him on the MTA site about looking for a first gen and emailed him to tell him to check our our classifieds. He responded that he had come to terms with you and that's how I know who it is. You have nothing to worry about.

Well...that was kind of my feeling when I picked it. I have a lot of black, gray and white. Was just looking for something a bit different.

Well...my wife called and told me that the sample shirt has arrived. She said that it really looks good but I'm out of town of course so won't be able to check it out until Friday. If it looks good though, I'll start collecting sizes and money within the next week or two. Now, I only plan to order ONE color. The sample is "natural"...sort of a tan color. Eileen said that she likes it and wants one but she said that you motorcycle type folks might prefer gray. So.....what say YOU?

I got these from either Midnight Rider or Cinderella and thought that some of them were pretty cool.

I live in Ohio and I'm not sure either. I would think though that in most states they could find something to charge you for.

My first ride on a 2007 Midnight Venture
Freebird replied to CaptainJoe's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I don't think that doing BOTH will give you the results you are looking for. If you look closely at these bikes, you will, see that they sit a bit low in the rear. Adding the leveling links OR lowering the front end levels the bike and greatly improves handling. If you do both, the bike is still going to sit low in the rear and, I think, defeat the purpose. If you are inseam challenged, then lowering the front is probably the way to go. If you can handle the rear being raised a bit then that is the way to go. I have the leveling links and love them but I'm pretty tall.
