  1. I have a 2007 second gen, but that sure looks like a replacement rubber piece that came with my new stator. I pulled the plug on the Buckeye high output one.
  2. I am ready and can't wait. We have a beach house in Benthney Beach DE for the week. I'll be leaving there :fingers-crossed-emoWednesday morning as early as I can since it is an 11 hour ride from DE. I hope to get there in time for dinner at Fatz at 6:30. See everyone there!
  3. Made it home 4:14 AM EST. A 20 hour ride straight home. Thanks again to all the committee members for the most fantastic rally of all!
  4. We are all going to miss you guys at thetinternational, but have a great vacation in Iceland! Take lots of pics.
  5. Randy, I was getting an old laptop read to take with me to Don's MD. Anyway I was trying to remove some software and having some problems. I remembered I had found a solution a while back from Microsoft. They no longer support this program but I was able to locate and down load a copy of it off the net. The program is MSICUU2.EXE. Download a copy of the program and save it to the My Documents folder. Then run the program. It will install it in the program folders. Left click on the START button and under all programs you will find a Microsoft uninstaller. Run this and it will show a popup of all installed programs and let you delete ones you do not want any more. Hope this helps.
  6. The best bolt on upgrades you could do for and 2nd gen would be the Vmax read gear swap, the Dyna3000 TCI so you can up the rev limiter. And then a clutch upgrade so there isn't any slippage. The Vmax gear change will make you think you have a totally different bike. That's just my 2 cents.
  7. I have the Garmin 765T and instead of paying the 69 bucks for a map update at Best Buys, Garmin had a deal for 89 Bucks to purchase a life time map update for my unit. I get 4 updates a year. That sure seemed like a good deal to me!
  8. Lewis, Any word yet on special rates at the Seasons Inn?
  9. I just replaces my stock TCI with the DYNA3000 and I sure don't remember any extra cable. The new TCI is a little larger than the stock one and it was a tight fit to begin with.
  10. Have there been any special rates set up at the Seasons Inn in Blairsville for 2013 Vogel rally? In 2011 it was 55.00 a night but I'm sure the rate has gone up some since then.
  11. Does anyone know where the valve shim kit can be purchased?
  12. I have the VMAX rear and just bought the Dyna 3000. I was thinking of setting the rev limiter to 7500 RPM. The next choice lower is 7250. Is the 7500 too high?
  13. 68 degrees on Sunday here in Northern Virginia...I'll believe when I see it. That's short sleve weather in January!!!! I was getting ready to send my seat off to the but buttler in Texas, but I may have to wait a week or so.
  14. Friday evening I was watching Diners Drive-Inns and Dives and guess what? The last meet and eat we had at the Virginia Inn in Wakefield Virginia was on the show. Thanks Riderduke for picking such a great place.
  15. I went two years ago and was very disappointed. There were more food vendors than motorcycle related ones. I was looking for a new head set and not one had any electronics. There were onlt two manufactures, Star and Canam. I think the Gettysburg and Carlisle Bike Fest are much better. If I'm not mistaken both are sometime in July. The Carlisle one is right before the International rally, July 21st through the 24th.
  16. I wish I could leave on Thursday but I can't until Friday morning. Well guess I'll get to try out my new Frogtogs on the way up. See you all on Friday evening!
  17. I just checked the weather for Ohio and the long range forecast doesn't look so great for Friday or Saturday. What happens at MD if it rains? Do we just get wet and still work on the bikes?
  18. That was one of the best mods I've made. I was constantly down shifting with the stock rear, and now I hardly ever have to. You will need to watch out for the rev limiter, it comes up really quick when you crack the throttle wide open!
  19. The best winter mod I've done was the Vmax rear gear swap. It makes a world of difference in the performance and only 300 bucks.
  20. I was riding down to Bike October Fest in FL from Northern Virginia 2 years ago. I only had about 17,000 miles on my 07 and all of a sudden going about 65 MPH on cruise control my bike just quit. No sputter or nothing, and I still had a quarter of a tank of gas. I sat on the side of the road in North Carolina for a good 30 minute. Not even a sound from the bike as I turned it on and hit the starter button. I tuned the kill switch on an off many times and tried to start the bike multiple times with no luck.. Then all of a sudden it started and I have not had a problem like that since then. It was very strange failure that I wish I knew why it happen.
  21. Craig , you and Kim have a safe and enjoyable trip. Looks like the weather will warm up a bit into next week. We all missed you two at Vogel this year! Kim Woodworth
  22. Skid, There was a post not too long ago here where sone one suggested getting a 5 pin din old style keyboarg extention cable. I checked with our computer store here (Micro Center) and they did not have them any more but I did find them on the internet. I looked up '5 pin din extention cable'. Hope this helps.
  23. When I wired my home theater I used a special UL approved speaker wire for in the wall. I got it at the Lowe's home improvement center. I mounted quick connect speaker wire adapters on the wall for each speaker. I put in a 7:1 system with 2 rear, 2 middle, 2 front speakers about 6 feet up on the wall, then the center speaker and sub wolfer.
  24. Don, I have that coupon if you still need it and it's in the mail to you today. The coupon is good until July.

    CB mic?

I have the Buddy Rich patch cable and the J&M head set. it works just fine with the CB. Buddy is a member here who makes the patch cable. It plugs right in to the audio system wires in the faring.
