RSTD drops out of cruise control

Spot on with that post! I put the brake/clutch leather covers (with streamers) on my scoot and the Cruise Control will not work at all. I take the covers off and the CC works perfect. Boomer.....who thinks that CC system is as sensitive as a politician at a Baby Shower and running for re-election. -
My scoot gets an oil/filter change every 3000 miles period. Mobil 1 Racing 4T 10W-40 and a Pureolator Filter. Boomer.....who values his scoot more than some wimmen he has known......and suspects Owners Manuals are written by former politicians.

The Internet is loaded with scammers nowadays. I guess there is a big enough percentage of folks who let greed go to their head and fall victim to these ploys. Boomer......who would love to meet one of these rich Nigerians and have that sucker pay off my bills with cold hard cash.

IMHO there can never be enough emphasis placed on safe riding techniques when YOU are the Ride Captain or Team Leader. Folks tend to get caught up in the fever of the "ride" and a good short lecture helps to bring most everyone back to reality. Ya done good and your riders owe you that! Boomer........who takes being a Ride Captain serious.....and has a very low tolerance for stupidity on the road. (Sorry folks but road safety is no joking matter).

Using that specific oil has pretty much killed off the slight chirp I had with my Venture. Added the Baron's 4-2-4's for icing on the cake! Boomer........who believes the only chirp a rider should hear is when he runs over a parakeet.

Using an ice pick you can carefully punch holes near the top of the filler neck. This allows you to put more gas in the tank. Do NOT drill the holes as metal filings will end up in your tank.That metal gray filler neck is there to prevent you from filling the tank completely and to allow for the expansion of gasoline in the tank. Boomer.....who's proud to FINALLY contribute a bit of info to someone on this Site.

When my sons were in Grades 4-8 it was a constant chore to keep up with what they needed for school supplies. I did go to their school to find out what the deal was. When I saw all that their Teacher's were buying with their own money I complained no more. I and many other parents banded together to do car wash fund raisers for school supplies. Had a hell of a great time considering it was only 3 hours every Saturday. We turned the $$$ over to the Teachers and off to Wal_Mart they went to get all the supplies they needed. Boomer.....who got yelled at for ogling and drooling at the wimmen with wet shirts at the car wash events.

I think your scoot looks great just as it is. Chrome wheels might enhance the looks if ya have the cash for that. Boomer......who really thinks if you have extra cash ya should send it to him for expedient use.

Last year a friend of mine was hit from behind while stopped at a red light. The gal was chatting on her cell phone of course! His scoot was totaled and he spent weeks in a Hospital recovering. The cage driver was given a minor citation and drove home while the rider was being transported to the Hospital via ambulance. He got himself a good lawyer and sued the hell out her. Ended up with a brand new Goldwing and all Hospital bills and Doctor fees paid in full. Her Insurance Co. is now pressuring him for a final settlement....and he's telling them to pound sand. His medical problems could last for years and it is very doubtful that a final settlement would come close to covering all his medical expenses,loss of wages,and suffering. Bikers seem to have little interest in staging mass rally's to lobby Legislators for tough laws in holding cage drivers accountable for their own stupidity on the road. Boomer........who wonders how most folks lose their common sense when they drive a vehicle.......and how many bikers have to die before the stupid are held accountable.

Yep.....And that works great! You can buy the Ipod Shuffle from Amazon for less than $60. It will hold 250 songs and runs for 14 hours between battery charges too. Boomer......who can boogie with the best of them.......and sings along with Waylon and Willie too.

Don't let it bother ya Bro. I'm no expert or great mechanic when it comes to the Venture but I am learning a lot here. Folks ignore me all the time....... and nothing will kill a thread faster than me posting to it! LOL! Boomer........who's determined to bring a smile to someone's face whether they like it or not!

Yesterday a buddy and I saddled up and hit the road at 7AM. From Connecticut we traveled North clear up to Vermont. On Route 89 in Vermont we hooked up with 1900 riders at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial to do the Vermont Thunder Ride. Once the Ride began at 11:30 AM hundreds of other Riders joined in at various points. End result was that over FOUR THOUSAND Riders participated in Vermont Thunder. The Ride ended at Enosberg Vermont nearly 50 miles north of Montpelier(Capitol of Vermont).There was a short Ceremony honoring all Vets and our POW's still missing and unaccounted for from all past Wars. All total we rode over 700 miles yesterday.With the exception of riding in pouring down rain the 1st 45 miles of the Thunder Ride all else was EXCELLENT! The entire Ride route was lined with folks waving American Flags and cheering on the Riders. For anyone not doing the Rolling Thunder "Ride To The Wall" in Washington the Vermont Thunder Ride is more than worth the effort! This Ride is sponsored by both Rolling Thunder and the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association. NO RIDERS FEES WHATSOEVER!! To those who have served or are still serving in our Armed Forces.......THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS!! Boomer.......who damn well knows the price of freedom.
