  2. I'm very lucky that the Service Tech who works on my scoot is also a good friend and riding partner. Even with that being the case I go by the old saying "Trust But Verify"!! Boomer........who's seen enuff parts fall off Harleys....and 1st Gens....to know that Blue LocTite is worth its weight in gold.....if used.
  3. Amen to that Bro. Boomer.....who has patched more potholes than the State Dept. of Transportation.
  4. Man those pics sure brought back some great memories for me! Growing up in the bayous of SW Loozeeanner (Cajun country) my sister and I always had a passel of those coons being raised by us. The mother coons had a penchant for becoming roadkill and the little ones were easy to catch. Once they were mature enough tho my Dad would dispatch them pronto because a mature coon can be a dangerous animal to fool around with.... even tho ya hand raised them! Boomer....who never ate a lot of beef growing up but always had good stew to gnaw on.
  5. Sure glad it was not a guy on a motorcycle she ran over! Boomer.....who's not gonna say anything about wimmen drivers.....for now.
  6. When I get to ride alone I take advantage of that by going exploring. Stopping at new places to eat and/or relax works well for me. My GPS is now loaded with good food stops all over the State....including all the Hooters locations as well.... Boomer....who can ride and chow down with the best of them.
  7. Yer my kinda guy Brake Pad!! Boomer....who has Cable TV,shag carpet, beer cooler, and a water bed in his dog house.
  8. You have every right to be proud! Please convey my sincere thanks to your son for serving our Country. He is leaving you as an 18 year old but before you know it he will return as a man and defender of our freedom. Boomer....USN Retired and darn proud of it.
  9. The Butler seat mod!! Boomer......who's posterior sings happy songs no matter how many miles a day he rides now.
  10. I suspect this Dealer is trying to pull a fast one......and IF in fact the frame is flexing as he claims what is to prevent this problem from happening again in short order after repairs are made? Mebbe Motorvation has the answer to that question but I'd bet good money they will NOT back the Yammi Dealer on this assumption! Boomer......who knows darn well some Yammi Dealers smell just like roadkill.
  11. Have you talked to Motorvation about this problem to see if there is something they could possibly do? Offhand it sounds to me like your Yammi Dealer is trying to pull a fast one on you. If the Dealer has not torn the bike apart I would be looking to take the bike to a different Dealer. Boomer.....who really doubts the scoot frame would flex that much unless you are hauling illegal aliens into the Country with the scoot/sidecar.
  12. I sure wish I had an answer for your problem but I only own a trouble free 2nd Gen..... Boomer....who never plans on having oral s*x with his motorcycle.
  13. IMHO....Eck has it and has donated it to this Site............ Boomer.....who's not gonna kill off brain cells trying to figure this out.
  14. Unbelievable............ Boomer....who thinks we need to add a lot more bleach to the gene pool.

  19. I know exactly what you mean! Boomer.....who listened to the little voice in his head dat said "Don't do it dummy".
  20. Well there ya go....a MV with pillow tops. That is the 1st one I have seen with those seats. Boomer.....who thinks a midnight run with tools is the way for Iowaegian to consider.
  21. My 06 Midnight Venture has the studded seat trim which I don't think would look very good on the pillow top seats. I have not seen a Midnight Venture with pillow top seats either. Boomer....who thinks ya should double up on dat sheepskin until the Butler Mod can be done.
  22. What you need is a Hot Tub with the Jacuzzi feature........ Boomer....who knows that 4 fingers of good Bourbon and an hours worth of hot water shooting up yer azz will rejuvenate even the oldest and slowest in the pack.
  23. Maytag has a big Sale on drive belts....P/N for fit up on 1st Gen's iz AntiqueBr1541..... Boomer....Doing his part to make folks smile...giggle....and fart.
  24. Count me in for this worthy cause! Boomer.....who's wife has been yapping for a new washing machine and this could fill the bill nicely.
  25. Check out the camping areas in Chevy Chase Maryland. From there it is a short Bus and Subway (Metro) ride into DC and all points throughout the city. The Metro Passes are the way to go. Driving and Parking in DC is a real NIGHTMARE and will cost you dearly in Parking fees....and they love to give out Parking tickets too! Air & Space Museum is good for killing a whole day.....Smithsonian alone will eat up a whole week if you try to see everything in all of their buildings.....LOB (Legislative Office Building).....Library of Congress.....Lincoln Memorial.....Washington Monument is great for the view and exercise in going UP all the stairs to get to the top! Try to see the National Mall at night when everything is lit up. Really beautiful! **For cheap Dining you can go to the National 4H Center in Chevy Chase....Buy your Meal ticket at the Main Lobby and walk across the street to their Dining Facility. Breakfast,Lunch, and Dinner are all well prepared and all you can eat!! Wear GOOD walking shoes and dress lightly. Security is a PITA so expect to be well searched at all Government places. The Grand Union Train Station is loaded with panhandlers outside the building....and across the street from that there is the US Postal Museum which is great. Also at the GU Train Station you can book the Tour of Arlington which is a good deal. Boomer.....who won't tell ya the Liberal Bars that will toss Conservatives into the street.
