  2. i have a 100.00 dollar bill that wants to move to the countryside, carl. you think the 855 will like the city life? ( as in Toronto)? now before you get into profanities, remember,Don keeps a close eye to these posts....
  3. so, i take it, you don't like or respect white people that go sun tanning to look darker ?
  4. no i did not ride to work today....but later on, today, i will be riding AWAY from work. all this house work makes me want to get away. and what better way than to jump on the bike and 'venture' out?

  7. He said that he was coming from Chicago and on his way on to Philadelphia using as many back roads as he could. His bike was not modified. He used only the front brake. WOW !! A brave soul. May he have lots of strength and courage to ride for a long time...
  8. sorry to hear about the accident, Bob. i know how you must be feeling about the bike...s**t happens, friend. nothing we can do about it. be thankful to your riding skills and thank God you two escaped any injuries.
  9. am going to try and hook up with evan, dave, and ben and at least try and ride the ontario part with you guys. and then i will turn back for toronto once you guys cross the bridge. hope you all have a good time and a safe trip. wish i was with you all for the whole trip, but unfortunately cant make it. don't have the passport ready either. say hello to all our friends there in ohio for me. abdul.
  10. there sure are lots of attentive drivers out there. i had a close one yesterday too and had it not been for this young attentive man, i would have been typing this from inside the casket. was on the 401 ( major hwy) here in toronto coming back from the niagara falls. was in the middle lane of the highway.as the cars started to slow down in my lane, i turned my right indicator on, looked in the rear view mirror,no car...started leaning into it, and as is my habit, turned my head to the right to see if there was a car. and i see something right besides my rear tire. lucky for me, the young man had good reflexes and he went in to the shoulder of the hwy at the same time braking lightly to avoid me. i did wave to him to thank him,and he cooly went by without even giving me a dirty look or the middle finger which i fully deserved. am going to be extra careful from now on changing lanes. so there sure are lots of good cagers out there among the bad ones... we are always too quick to blame cagers, but oft times its the bikers at fault too.
  11. agree with every word you saying bill....but us ornery folks face consequences when WE do it. try using the above argument when you cause an ACCIDENT and see if the judge sympathizes with your argument.
  12. :The DA said "He was doing his job, he turned on his lights, he made the Uturn, he didn't see the individual". let me see here.....if a bus driver who is "doing his job" driving the bus causes an accident....he is not liable for it. hmmmmmm :bang head: oh...forgot a little technicality...he has to have his lights on! anyone know where i can buy those flashing lights?
  13. me too. WOW ! what an experience it must have been. BRAVO ! excellent picture taking too.
  14. here's a good article on how to do the carbs for the bike u working on. got it from site suggested by tim44. http://users.rcn.com/kochc/moto/carb/carb.html hope it helps. good luck.

  16. hey...that's great....Ben! i been working on it for 34 years now. patiently...............but no luck yet.
  17. could also cause lots of accidents with people trying to avoid the potholes suddenly.
  18. my half helmet decided to make its escape when i forgot to fasten the strap after putting it on at the gas station. as soon as i got to about 80 kms/hr, the damn thing decided the time was ripe and took the plunge. looked back in the mirror and saw it bouncing on the road for about 50 ft or so. turned right around, picked it up, and right...i still use it...it's got some scratches on it, but hopefully other helmets will think twice about escaping after they see what happened to this one. now if anyone is feeling concerned about me, my birthday is on the 1 st of august. too bad about the artwork, sunman. was a neat looking helmet, having seen it in person.
  19. okay....but how do i make a tent out of this towel???
  20. who really cares? i will let the historians bang their heads over this. :bang head::bang head::bang head::bang head:
