I'm a one caliber type of guy. Glock 36 .45acp as a concealed carry, 1911A1 in the night stand, a thompson in the closet and looking now for a M3/M3A1. And lots of .45acp. Also have a 20 ga just in case but it's also in a closet so not very good for late night home protection.

Although media player 11 will rip to MP3 it doesn't work if you already have a large amount of WMA files on your computer like I did. I downloaded this free program and it works great and is very simple. Did 300 WMA files to MP3 in less than an hour and thats with me listing every bit of info in to categorize it right. jodix free WMA to MP3 converter. Not exactly sure where I downloaded it from but I believe it was from here http://www.jodix.com/

I checked out the Morgan and it was 65 pounds shipped which I thought was roughly $130.00. The Motion Pro I just found at $97.00. Is it worth the extra $30.00?
-
Even better. I'm looking at the Motion Pro SyncPro. With that I don't need any adapters?
-
Well after looking around the I found out the Morgan comes from the UK and I'm not really sure what 65 pounds is in US dollars but I'm sure the exchange ain't good. I found a motion Pro for $102.00 but it doesn't come with the 6mm adapters and I'm guessing that's what we need.

Relax guys. This is the excerpt from Snopes about this email.

Have only had mine a week but found it worked very well for what I wanted. No issues yet, but then again it's only a week old.

Have to agree that's a hard thing to avoid if not impossible. Just plain sucks.

The group was the Outlaws from Osceola County, Florida. There were actually 12 motorcyclists transported and ten bikes damaged. One member had his leg amputated, one his foot and one will probably lose at least part of his foot if not the whole thing. Driver claims to have had a seizure but there is still no info as to whether he had a license or not. Many seizure patients have their license revoked to keep this exact instance from happening. Be careful out there. One minute you're enjoying the ride and the next this happens.

Jeff have a good time. I plan on doing plan A in about two weeks till I hit the southern tip. Let me know if you find anything of interest to visit on the way down if you go that way.

Have the exact same one and love it. Less buffering, better wind protection, better water shed even before rain X. Can't recommend enough.

Thanks Gary.

I have a question. Right now when I ride in the rain my shin area gets soaked where everything else stays fairly good at speed. Will these help with that?

I have the Baron bag slash pipes. For me they were too loud stock but the baffle is removable. One wrap with muffler packing and they sound great. Took about 10 mins to do both sides.

Spud I dont have a convertor in front of me but looking up the load capacity of each bike from the manufacturers it is: VTX 1300 - 330 pounds and it holds just under 5 gallons RSV - 418 pounds and it holds 6 gallons. My group has 1 VTX 1300 and 1 VTX 1800. The 1800 gets about 125 miles till it needs to be refilled. The 1300 actually does slightly better but still wont go much higher than 136-140. I routinely do better than 165. And again if you add on the weight of the full fairing, side bags and trunk that has to add better than 100 pounds easy. So now the load capacity is under 250 where the RSV is still better than 400. I can find out the exact weight if you'd like. Both of the VTX's just purchased the Tsukyau touring kits. Which I'm sure will cut down a little on their MPG. Not knocking either bike, they both run good and have had limited problems, but their are inherent problems with them also. In case I am missing the boat and you are talking about the new VTX1800T, which I'm not sure is available yet, you are still talking about a windshield, not fairing, leather side bags and no trunk but a little better load capacity according to Honda. Although he actually stated a little better so I'm not sure if that means 70 pounds or not.

Thats simple enough to explain on warranty work. When you get work done almost all shops work on book rate and book rate is almost always listed longer than it takes a seasoned technician. So if you go in to have a trunk rack put on it may list 2 hours at $65.00 an hour for the shop to charge you to do it but in reality it may take 40 min. The technician and shop still get paid the 2 hours @ $65.00. Now on most warranty work, but not all, it works the opposite. Warranty pay is usually a good deal less, maybe $40.00 an hour is what the shop gets paid by Yamaha. And then the book time for warranty is usually spot on or lower. Take the inner fairing. I believe I remember correctly that the book time is 2.5 hours to replace it. Anyone that has tried will tell you it's almost double that. Almost every wire has to be moved and disconnected and all the inner sub frames removed. So the shop and tech are getting paid 2 hours to do 4 hours worth of work and the shop is making less money to do it. In other words customer work - $130.00 for 40 min of actual work and warranty work - $100.00 for almost 5 hours of work. I'm not saying it's right but which scenario would you chose?

Not to turn this into a Yamaha vs Honda but I do believe, like everything else, its an opinion and depends on the bike you get. My 06 RSV cost me 13,500 OTD and I now have almost 9,000 miles on it. Not much you may say but since I bought it in 2007 I have had a major surgery that kept me off motorcycles and mileage is split between the RSV and my Warrior depending on where I'm going. I have had two things repaired under warranty, the inner fairing and exhaust elbows, and have had no out of pocket expenses. The bike is fully loaded and comes equipped and ready to take on the loads of a tourer. When you add all the extras to the VTX you still don't make up for less cruising range since it holds over a gallon less gas or the payload capacity since it's maximum payload is almost 100 pounds less. Plus you have taken up a lot of the payload by adding all the extra baggage and such. I have nothing against the VTX it's just that even if you add all the accessories to the VTX you are still comparing apples and oranges. You are taking a bike that is not designed for long distance touring and making it able to do it. I did the same to my Vmax before I bought a cruiser. Adding new suspension, forward controls and side bags yet I wouldn't compare that to a stock VTX 1800 and say it was a better choice. It would just be my opinion.

This test is along the same lines as the purple gorilla test that came out about 10 years ago. I'd love to find the article again because it addressed motorcyclists specifically.
