    might also check the "thermal switch" , i think it is called. it might be that the fan is coming on "after" the engine has already gotten hot, and then cannot supply enough circulation to cool the engine down , before "boil-over". just jt

    inside the left fairing,there is an insert fairing, that holds the "radio tuner." also ,on this inner fairing, there is a "noise filter"(part # NL88188-00). it could be, that you have a bad/corroded connection ,in that part> just jt

    andrew, sounds to me , like you have TOO MUCH oil in the crankcase! i am not sure about the '07's, but i believe that the oil level should be very nearly 1/2 way up on the sight glass. just jt

    GEEEZE!! talk about thin skinned!!!!! and YES! i was absolutely talking about 90%,of the h.d. riders, in this part of the world! i think someone told me, that in three years, harley sales in victoria county, alone, rose by 2000%!!! that is a LOT of new riders, learning to ride! just jt p.s.: sorry guys. i didn't intend for this post to run anyone away from our group! john

    in texas, it don't matter what you claim to have paid for a particular vehicle, anymore. taxes are charged according to what the "insurance replacement cost/real value", of said vehicle! used to be you could say you bought it for "ten dollars and other considerations". that all went out the window, this year! just jt

    i'm gonna have to trade my '86, in on a h.d.! those guys, can ride everyday in shorts, t-shirts, sandals, and NEVER a helmet. never see or hear of them guys getting creamed by a blue haired old lady in a new caddy! i think , there is a "subliminal" ,"bulls eye", painted on ALL big yamahas, that only "non-riders", can see! it is getting to a point, where just going out for an afternoon ride, is too risky, let alone an all out long distance tour! just jt
