Cindy you need to change the title to this thread. It should be called wishful thinking photo shop. When I saw that body with my wife's head on it I was wishful thinking.

You better add a number behind that cause there are going to be a bunch of us with that name.

Hughesnet sucks we had it for 6 years it was good for 4 years the it got as slow as dial up and they could care less. Tech support even if you could understand the language the tech was speaking was worthless. Its always the hardware but they would come check it and it was fine many times. The last 2 years 37kb would be considered good and if you download anything then they put you on restricted access so you have about 10 kb. We went to alltel wirless cards I have two one runs the house with 4 people using it and the other I keep with me for access where ever I am. Both cost about the same as hughes junk. We have clearwire at the office and it works good.

Promises promises. I've been married with children for 22 years you don't have the tools in your arsenal to inflict enough pain to affect me.

Not sure where to start.....
Redneck replied to 83VR3711's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Sounds like carb problems the first thing I would do is drain the carbs catch the drained gas in a clear container so you can see whats in it. you can look in the intake and see if all the carb slides are moving. The seafoam may help and may not. Don't run the seafoam in the oil very long. Did this just start or has it been sitting?- 23 replies

I haven't had time to do much riding in the last year. I decided to go for a ride today I installed the new dry cell battery turned the key hit the button and she came to life. I rode into town and gave her a bath then off for a couple of hours of ecstasy. It was kinda rough being cold and my butt out of practice, the only difference between a corbin seat and a piece of plywood is the corbin won't give you splinters. The temps were only in the upper 60s but I managed to survive. I thought about you northerners but not for long.

Jt its good to see you on here.

as long as your front tire is latched down tight in a wheel chock the angle of the scoot won't make any difference.

New Idea for Air Filters
Redneck replied to dlhoulton's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I don't think you will have any mixture problems with you set up. To much flow can cause low rpm throttle response problems on carburated engines but the carbs on your scoot are variable venturie so they keep the air velocity at a fairly constant rate so fuel air mixing is fairly consistent. If you have to much restriction you will notice a decrease in fuel mileage. run it a while and look at the spark plugs if they are black you are running rich if they are white you are running lean they should be a medium brown with good mixture rates. -
I can see the law suits coming once they started giving bail outs they can not discriminate so the courts will require us to bail out anybody who asks.

New Idea for Air Filters
Redneck replied to dlhoulton's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
They look good! I looked at filters similar to those and was going to do the same thing you did. I decided not to do it because of the possible water in the intake issue. I don't think it will be a problem running down the road in the rain but stuck in traffic in heavy rain they will pull water in. I have a dune buggy with a similar set up and I have had it pull water in ,when they get wet the restriction will cause the engine to run very rich and flood. I thought about building shrouds to shield the top of the filters but decided not to do it on the bike. If your local dealer is a jerk they could also void your warranty you could change back to stock filters before taking it in for warranty work. -

That is an indication it is running very rich or missing or not firing on one cylinder. How is it running? I would pull the plugs and look at them a rich condition will make the plug black a cylinder not firing will be wet and washed clean.
