Help !!!

Help, I was hit on 6-28-2010 and the responsible party's insurance has not done any thing yet. The claim agent is Andrea Doolittle from Portland Or, working for Chartis Ins who took over fron AIG. The home office is Chartis PO box 25588 Shawnee Mission Kansas 66225. the phone is 1-800-242-2923 ex 2515 the claim # is 684322712. I have done my best with my insurance to get anything from them. My medical bills are coming in and I have no insurance other than the San Diego VA. I do not want to take the Dr time from the Veterans in need. Could I get your help contacting the company till they respond? Thank you Rod Fleming Spring Valley Ca
4. Nationwide decided to raise my rates. I have already called: Progressive - About the same rate Geico - A little higher rate Dairyland - A little higher again State Farm- is nukin futs:shock3: On my call list is: McGraw esurance Markel and Formost. Anybody else I can call? Thanks!
5. I got a letter from my insurance company today asking me the value of my 89 VR. Mine is in what I consider excellent condition with 21,800 miles. The only option on it is the lighted chrome rear bumper. I put on a rivco oil filter adapter, cable upgrade and braided ss brake lines. Kelly Blue book lists it at $3495 and NADA list it at $4125. I carry full coverage on it. Apparently the insurance company, Foremost considers it a classic if it has under $500. in accessories. I have the option of keeping street or classic insurance. My questions are should I value it at the higher value and is classic insurance cheaper than street insurance? Insurance has cost me $300. a year in the past. Thanks Dave
6. A Pennsylvania woman is facing insurance fraud charges after authorities say she worked as a stripper while collecting worker's compensation payments. The state Attorney General's office said 43 year old Christina Gamble of Quakertown collected thousands of dollars in insurance payments while working at C.R. Fanny's Gentlemen's Club and Sports Bar. I wonder how many times the insurance adjuster had to visit C.R. Fanny's to observe the evidence?

Insurance cost

I was hoping someone can answer this question. Why is the insurance so high on my 07 RSTD. Its about $700 a year for full coverage with progressive. I was playing around on their site and a Vulcan 1600 nomad is $200 a year less and even an Ultra classic that costs 10 grand more is $25 a year less. I knew it was higher going in but I was just curious why. Are the replacement parts expensive or do they total easily?
8. Dropped the insurance on Lil'Red. Going to miss it but Too many Bikes.
9. I am concidering buying a Kumho, The darkside is very appealing, traction, cost, and tire life, but, a good friend asked me: If you had an accident with a car tire on your bike, would your insurance cover you? Anyone know? Mark FYI For canadian riders. I made a call to Primmum insurance. Asking about using car tires on a motorcycle. He laughed, "the dark side". He seemed to know all about it! Then said, "this is an unacceptable modification and if you don’t disclose this modification to the insurance company and are involved in an accident your insurance will be void, under material misrepresentation. You will also be tagged and not be able to get insurance for three years". He said most insurance companys will be the same. Please check for yourself.
10. I just got the figures from ICBC for my insurance coverage on the scoot and full coverage with $1,000 deductible and max discount will run me $2,038 for the full year. Not being satisfied with that, I did some poking around because I knew that somewhere I should be able to get private insurance beyond the basic ICBC 200,000 PL&PD. I found that I can get it from Coast Capital. Quote Summary: $455.00 ..... Annual Premium $12,500 ..... Declared value of the bike $500 ..... Declared value for riding gear $400 ..... Declared value for helmets $1 million Third party liability $1,000 ..... Deductible $40.57 ..... Monthly payment This is for Collision, Comprehensive, and 3rd party liability to 1 million. The policy also includes Travel Protection (if your bike is stolen or you are involved in accident away from home), Emergency Service Expense, and Lock Re-keying (if keys are stolen). Additionally, if you only insure with ICBC for 6 month's, the Coast Capital becomes a "storage policy" with the exception of the liability which would not apply once the ICBC policy expires. This is a substantial savings and I will definately be getting my extended insurance from them.
11. I have Progressive at a good price,,,,BUT ...I found out today the my Garmin Zumo GPS, XM radio and GoPro camera are not coved.... at all ? Progressive will not cover these items. Dose your insurance cove these items ? Cb
12. Has anybody's insurance given them a hassle insuring a trailer towed by a bike?
13. can anyone tell me the dimentions of the voyager trike kit? frame width at the wheel ? total length. and pictures of the atachment places.?? i am thinkin of buildin my own.. im sure that i can do it, for a lot less.. called my insurance man today and he said : not a problem, being thati only have liability coverage.. it is treated as an accessory.. he is also a biker..
14. I called my insurance company today because I was trading in my 2003 Harley Ultra for a 2010 Ultra. When I tried to change over the coverage I was told that they are no longer writing motorcycle policies in Maryland and that I could use their "General Agent" for the new bike. I have had insurance with them (USAA) since 1972 and have always had a motorcycle on my auto policy. Their partner agency is Progressive and their price was not out of line with what I was paying when it was on my auto policy but now I have two different companies to deal with and pay premiums to. Has anyone else run into this with USAA?
15. The best deal I got with Collision and fire and Theft was $1023 Cdn was with TD Primmum Insurance
16. To recap: I got my progressive insurance transferred to my newly acquired 2007 RSV from a V-star 650. $790 a year, and for minimal coverage! I have gone to AARP Foremost and got it for less than HALF!!! So-o-o I upgraded to much better coverage and still paying over $300 less than Progressive wanted. I think the Progressive agent could see my smile when I phoned her to cancel.
17. O.K. here we are in Indianapolis and we just brought home the 2007 RSV. Used email to submit info. for changing existing insurance from a 650 V-star to the Venture. Have existing policy with Progressive. New quote is $760 a year!!! So-o-o, I submitted a request for quote to a different web site, got back a quote for Dairyland Insurance for $537.84, big difference. Any input about who writes your insurance, cost, etc. (especially from hoosiers) would be appreciated. $760 a year seems to be very high, considering we can only ride about 7-8 months a year. Oh, yeh--- I love my new used Venture. Quite a bit different than the '84 VR that I got rid of in 2004. I've only ridden about 25 miles on it so far, but I'm glad to be back on a Venture.
18. Has anybody else here in WI. had their insurance go up? Mine went up more than 48%. I've never had a claim or violation. They gave several reasons that may have resulted in the increase. One of which was thew passage of a 2009-2010 WI. Budget Bill, effective 11/1/09. anybody hear of that one? As far as I knew, there weren't gonna be any changes until this July when insurance is going to be mandatory. I scanned my letter and attached it to see what you guys think. Is my premium still lower, or is it time to start looking for a new carrier? Keep in mind this is for a full year.
19. I post this for two reasons: one to let you all know about Presidents Choice Financial Insurance and two in hopes you spread the word far and wide. I had a car accident 4 years ago while turning right on a corner, a woman came from the LEFT side of me, turned right also, right into the left side of my car. Unfortunately, the donut-eater was more involved in the witnesses cleavage than the damage to my vehicle and the case was originally deemed BOTH at fault. So I went to court (cost me 3 days pay with their remands and other BS) but the judge saw the truth and I was deemed 100% fault free and the fault was placed on the other driver. I called back to make sure my insurance was corrected and was told I'd have to get the transcript of the trail and send it to the Adjusters who would deem at fault. I paid the $60 for the copy and sent it off, verified weeks later that things were corrected and was told they were. Years go by and PCF Insurance has now scewed around enough people that they decide they had better get in the brokerage business instead, so I get my new premiums and they are up 32%!! I was stunned. I call back to ask why and I am told "Thats the best rate we can do for you" I shop around and find it for the same price I'm paying now (which is supposed to be discounted 35%!!) and make the move over. While in a conference call with the new company and PCF it comes to light that I am still being charged at fault for the accident, but it also states third party liable.... can't be both! So I start to try and get this fixed. Through PCF and Crawford Adjusters and Aviva Underwriters they have me running around between approx. 10 different people all with different ways to try and run you around. Finally, I get a lady on the phone who admits to the new company it is not my fault, so I can get the new rate and leave PCF. But, in the process of trying to get things fixed I found out a little insurance tidbit: IF YOU PAY YOUR DEDUCTIBLE, YOU ARE DEEMED TO BE TAKING PARTIAL FAULT FOR THE ACCIDENT. This reminded me that I never did get back my $500 deductible, so on I fought. Then, about two weeks ago I receive, from a buddy, a funny email called "Wii for Women" with some quite graphic scenes at the end of it. But, lo and behold, he had just forwarded this on from his source, who had also forwarded it on with .... the FULL CORPORATE signature of one of the head lady adjusters from Aviva. (How stupid can some people be with email, just boggles the mind!) Naturally, I was quite happy to send that on far and wide to every living thing I could find. Oh, and THEN and I called and left a message telling her she should be more careful with her email, and PERHAPS IF SHE SPENT A LITTLE LESS TIME EMAILING PORN ON A COMPANY COMPUTER SHE'D HAVE MORE TIME TO SOLVE CLIENTS PROBLEMS. Don't play with Scorpios, they're a spiteful bunch. I am happy to say I got the cheque in the mail for the $500 last week. Coincidence??? I think not! But ..... I was looking at my banking last night, even though I had verbally cancelled 3 times, sent in a written cancellation a month ago which they admit receiving, they still went and took out the money from my account and are now saying "Whoops, sorry, we'll get that money right back to you, should be no more than 3 WEEKS." It never ends! PLEASE .... warn all your friends and family to avoid these shylocks, don't get yourself into this STRESS MESS like me. But ... if you happen to come across a forwarded email called Wii for Women.... feel free to send that sucker to Timbuktu and back!
20. Well we are finally moving forward with Charlene's surgery, seems all the phone calls and getting with our HR rep this morning at work helped. Only thing is we now have to start the whole process all over, back to the Dr for pr-op visit, cant be over 30 days between surgery and last visit, then have to go thru the consents again and pre-op at the hospital all over again, surgery is now scheduled for Jan. 25 and Jan 28. I am still fairly bitter about the way the insurance co. treated her file, but she is handling it much better. Thanks for all your prayers and support, it helps to have a big family backing you when you need it.
21. I am thinking about going back to full coverage insurance on my 83 Venture, especially since I have fixed all the plastic and repainted it, just wondering how many people are carrying full coverage insurance on their 1st Gen. I know the blue book value isnt very high, but if it does get totaled by me, I want to get a little cash for it, dont want to write off the whole bike...............
22. I just opened my invoice for my motorcycle insurance which I received in Fri mail:mad: My insurance has just increased by just over 40% to $962.00 for the year:mad: and I don't even carry collision coverage, this is strictly liability At a time when few people are lucky to even get a 2% wage increase, assuming they still have a job, how do they even justify it:mad: The Company I am currantly with is KINGSWAY GENERAL INSURANCE and you can bet I will be switching.:mad: ANY SUGGESTIONS FROM CANADIAN RIDERS WHO TO CHECK OUT.

Insurance

I know there are several threads on this but just wanted all you folks down south and those here in Canada that still have private insurance to feel good about your insurance rates. I just got my renewal notice for the scoot... 1 million 3rd party liability Underinsured motorist protection $1,000 collision deductible $500 comprehensive deductible Vehicle licence fee Total for one year = $2,071 (this has gone down since last time) Now here's the kicker... I have a clean driving/insurance record which means I get a whopping discount. If I did not, and if I had to pay the full rate, I'd be paying..... $4,162.00 ya'll feelin better???
25. On 27 May I had a drunk cross lanes and hit me head-on. Deputy let him walk and the first thing he done after I was in ambulance was claim I crossed over and hit him. Most of you already know all about this just wanted to make it clear. I have fought since then to get blame where it belongs. Insurance told me today that they are going to visit scene 15th of Oct. They did take pics of the accident and I am confident that unless reconstructionst is a complete Idiot they will put the blame on the other guy where it belongs. I just can't believe it takes this long. What do they gain by dragging it out this long? they have to know what they are putting me thru. Just needed to vent. I have pics of the accident if I could figure out how to scan them and post them. I know there are a few that were interested in them.
