About 10 days ago I posted about tingling fingers and my plan to upgrade to Flanders bars and Kuryakyn ISO grips. Well, I've since completed that upgrade with the help of Usnmustang's wonderful pictoral write-up/how to. (Very informative and easy to follow - THANK YOU usnmustang, where ever you are .) Anyway, I've posted some pics for everyone to see the before and after. I think it looks really nice. I didn't put the stock weights back on because I'm not too good at fabrication but I did order the Kuryaky Bullet end weights to complete the look and get it back to real close. I didn't notice any additional vibration without the weight on (none at all as a matter of fact - VERY smooth). Like I said though, I'll put the new ends on if for no other reason than for a place to rest my hand when the cruise is on. You'll see in the pictures I still need to do something with the wiring. I'll probably get some black zip-ties which I think I can make look good. (I'm open to suggestions here so if anyone has a better idea, I'm all ears...) Here are the two questions I have after the install: 1. My new throttle grip doesn't want to snap back like it should. I've adjusted the cables every way I can think of (tighten, loosen and everywhere in between) and the throttle seems to move smoothly enough but I have to manually move it back from about 1/8 throttle. If I open it up to about 1/4 throttle or above it goes back to about 1/8. I hope that makes sense... What's everyones experience with this? Can I lube something to make it better and if so, what type of lube should I use? Other thoughts? 2. My other problem is the clutch. Keep in mind all I did was remove the housing from the stock bar, let it dangle and then put it back on. I didn't mess with it other than that. Now, the clutch seems a) just a little harder to pull and b) when I let it out it catches sooner. I used to get about 1 inch from the bar with the clutch lever before it caught but now it's more like 3/8 - 1/2 inch. Is there any way to adjust that? I guess I can't think of any other way to explain those two problems so I'm looking for anyone that may have suggestions. Hopefully it all makes sense. I'm going on a long ride next weekend and want to make sure it's tip-top by then. Please give me your thoughts. Hope everyone like the pics. Les

My brother just graduated with a masters in history. He is moving tonight or tomorrow to go to New Mexico. Him and his wife have done some searching and apparently there is a need for teaching jobs in New Mexico. Can anyone from New Mexico or surrounding states comment? Maybe for some sort of specialized field? I hope the best for my brother but considering the economy and schools around Indy are laying off instead of hiring I have my doubts

Hello: I like the stock grips with my modified bar end weights on my RSTD, but have often thought that a slightly larger grip might be nice. After searching and reading about grips here on the site, I decided to order a set of Grip Puppies. They arrived this week. I hope to have time to install them this morning. Any hints or tips. I see soapy water is the key? Thanks....

I hope with all my heart that this will not cause a commotion...if any of the moderators feel it will do so, please eliminate it. I hope it will not be construed as political...I see nothing political about honoring our heroes...particularly when they have made the ultimate sacrifice. God bless these young men and women, Semper Fi, and Way to Go, Mississippi! http://www.ihatethemedia.com/a-simple-way-to-stop-westboro-baptist-church-funeral-protesters

You cant get much more visible than this. But even a police bike with lights and sirens on is still not enough to be noticed by this stupid cager. http://www.todaystmj4.com/news/local/121966754.html I hope the officer heals up quick and with no lasting issues.

I just heard from a friend of mine and then saw some pictures on the news; looks like Tuscaloosa got nailed pretty good. Luckily my friend is okay, she was not home when it ripped through but she still has not been able to get back to her house. My initial thought was that I hope that all of our members in that area are okay, and I do think that, but really - I hope that everyone else is able to pull through as best as possible...

Hey! I would like to send you all an invite to our post wedding reception via this informal post. It will be Memorial Day weekend on Saturday, May 28th in Dallas, Wi. The address is 1855 2 1/2 Ave. Chetek, Wi. 54728. Were having a barn dance, pig roast, DJ, and maybe a bonfire after the Dj is done. Food served at 5pm and DJ starts at 7pm. There will be room for camping. We will also have a couple kegs of High Life, but if you want anything else alcoholic to drink, it's BYOB. It will be outside and in a barn, so please dress casually. Please RSVP with number attending via text to PM or email to theskes@yahoo.com by April 30th so we know how much food to order. I'll be saving an area for cycle parking somewhere. I hope to meet more of the venturerider gang. Hope to see you there, Bill & Jeannie

Made it home with an 2008 RSV, when we crossed back into Canada today. Didn't want to say much until I got across the border and home. An 08 with 4,800 miles, pretty much bare. Got a little dirty in the rain. I doubt it will be the last time, just hope it's not too often. Don't have many pics but I know the rules. I will get some more up later when I get it cleaned up. Naugh-T can be pretty naughty, eh Kreg and Kenny ? Brad

I traded my VR and Sporty for a '11 Ultra Classic Electra Glide today. I'll still hang around and hope to ride with some of you in the future, though.
