i had the venoms on my rstd. 130 in the front and had 12000,00 miles on them when i got rid of the bike. and still had plenty of tread. i do spend alot of miles on the side walls so i never get excessive center wear. i won't run anything but avons on my road bikes. getting ready to put one on the front of my wing. love them avons.

hey mike, the thing that scares me is we all may be soon to follow. a friend of mine who is very well set said i don't have anything to worry about, and i said if the banks close and the stock market crashes you have no money any more. he said my house is paid for. i said how you gonna pay the taxes. it goes on the block. thats what happened to my rich grandfather in the great depression. he went in rich and came out working for the st. louis police dept as a clerk living in a cheap apartment. alot of people in his position committed suicide. the lucky people in this depression we are in now, are not the people with money, but the old folks like me that lived in the era when things were good and won't be around for the end. i really worry about the young folks that care. some don't have a clue and think this is one big joke and some are truly worried about the future. this ain't no joke, and not being real stupid, i can't se anyway it can be fixed.

yep, no diapers yet here. i can still make it. just think though. with diapers you can drink all the coffee you want and keep riding.

i feel really bad for the folks that work for gm. the future looks grim to me. they have no customers any more. even if some how the company would by a miracle survive the dealers will be gone. i think the floor planned dealer vehicals are already starting to be repoed. i really don't see anyway for gm to survive. no matter how much you bail a company out the customers just aren't there anymore. darn i hate to see this. bill

boomer, don't know if your post was over the line, i did'nt read it. but i liked your answer to my responce. glad your back, nothing wrong with standing by your beliefs as long as they don't have an ill affect on others. i've weathered a few butt kickings in my day, but i stand by what i believe in. bill

one other thing, i noticed alot of people leave out there age. i know that is critical for the women, but we men should be proud of our age. with some of the things we pull in our life we're lucky we made it that far. i'm 66 and would'nt go back a year for anything.

here it is. why is'nt the state people live in listed with their city under location, i notice most just have a city. then you have to go to their profile to find out where their from. sure would make things easier if states were listed. bill

hey boomer, what did i miss? fill me in if you can. i'm always up to a good . keeps people on their toes. it does take awhile to find that fine line. i kind of sit on the edge of it all the time. it is a rough way to go sometimes not crossing it. a guy can only take so much sometimes. snarley bill

hey cindy, you could be the chase vehical. you can even drive my truck. you could meet us at cracker barrel saturday morning for breakfast. we would offer you lodging at our house but we only have one bed. linda wants to make one of the other bedrooms back into a bedroom so we have accomodations for someone else. don't miss this one. it's going to be good. besides i need dale to keep the barbeque under control. since we probably won't sleep much i'm sure we could find somewhere for everyone to sleep if you want to stay here, over night. bill

just, wanting to let anyone that has nothing to do may 7th, 8th, and 9th. to check out the st. charles meet under meet and eats on the sticky at the top.. i'm starting to buy the food and want to get an estimate on who plans to attend. so far it looks like a great turn out. for those that haven't checked in on the meet and eat thread, let me know. i hate to run out of beer, soda, and food. motels and details are all there. hope to see you there. bill

almost missed it. thought today was monday . i was riding along and asked my wife what day is it. she said tuesday. said a real quick prayer for don and everyone else and looked at the clock. it said 11:51 am. it should work. the main thing is the thought and meaning was there. sorry about being late though.

hey eck, you will now be able to handle a ups truck. i even got past a garbage truck the other day. i will admit it took that added wing power, to do it. you'll be passing all kinds of stuff now. keep your toes up in the curves i got my shoes wore off. that the first thing to drag. very nice looking bike. i hope you enjoy yours as much as i do my friend. bill

worst part of it is, most motorcycle riders that i know are cagers don't think the fault is driving a car, it's the fact that people are in the fast lane with life and don't have time to respect other peoples rights. i'm just glad these folks are all right, and hoping for angies speedy recovery.
