  1. Our IWAY 350c works great until the until overheats which takes aprox 10 minutes in 75 - 80 degree weather and automatically shuts off. We are looking to replace it this year with a garmin. Not happy at all the IWAY - the company replaced our first unit with a second one that does the same thing. The IWAY 500 has a fan built in the prevents the overheating from happening. Oh, did I forget to mention the Lowrance company is headquarted about 8 miles from my house.... I cannot recommend the IWAY based on our experience with it.
  2. It did say though bigger than the bike.....
  3. Here it is a real live caboose, and NEWTrk's bike, but NEWTrk was behind the camera instead of in front of it... Is it okay? Does he win? He doesn't know how to set the timer on the camera.
  4. just paid $35 for the rear tire mounted in T-town
  5. Now this doesn't sound like retirement, this sounds like she's headed to the spa for some relaxation, a makeover, some body masages with exotic oils, and just to recover from some hard work before she's back at it again..... What woman wouldn't want to spend some time doing just that..... What a lucky Blond Mini - don't you want to get the same treatmentment too!
  6. Take the $400 and go have a nice week romantic week in the cabin.
  7. You know if we were retired like you are we ALL could just go from one M&E to the next one .... and never have to go home again.
  8. We have a Sony laptop that we carry in the trunk on any overnight trips. It's in a padded case and strapped in secure so it doesn't bounce around in the trunk. I'm on call 24x7 and have to have access to work where ever we may be and NEWTrk just couldn't survive without his daily online newspaper fix.
  9. So what are you proposing - we don't eat or we don't meet? We just wave at each other as we ride past?
  10. Just read a few minutes ago of Mark's passing. Our prayers go out to his family and friends. Diane & Phil
  11. That's great Eck! I save that link and will have to use it on my next forward. I am very selective in my email. I have certain people and or groups that I have rules set up for that automatically move their email to specific folders, including the delete folder, to get their mail out of my inbox and I read them when I get around to it. I cut and paste anything I want to forward into a new email, unless it's for work where I need the email trail. But as far as jokes and or forwards, if I am going to send it on, I am going to clean it up first. But what about addresses - if you send something to multiple people, do you put everyone's email address in the TO: field, or do you use the BCC so that no one can see the other addresses it was sent to?
  12. I'd better see you in Oklahoma next month. I would hate to tell NEWTrk that we have to track you down.:whistling::whistling:
  13. Why would you want everyone to just bring a16 inches 2 x 6 - sounds like a really small deck.... But you must know what you are doing....:whistling:
  14. Just remember that BACKUPS ARE OUR FRIENDS!
  15. We lived in the area for many years, I have an aunt who lives just down the road from the campus. I know the DeKalb area very well. My heart goes out to the students and the families, and the whole campus. Justin, give your sister a hug for those of us that are too far in distant to reach out and comfort the students like we would really like to do. Our prayers are being said.
  16. NEWTrk06 just paid $35 to mount his new rear tire last week in Tulsa. He had pulled the tire himself.
  17. We're so sorry to hear about your friend. This must be very hard for you as well as his family. Our thought and prayers are with you and his family. Diane & Phil
  18. Here's a link to Stardays 2008 http://rickrobey.com/72756/stardays/index.htm
  19. We'll be there on Friday, can't take the whole week off. Just made reservations at the Comfort Suites in Bentonville about 4 miles from Rogers. We'll be staying over on Friday and Saturday night, the 25th and 26th,
  20. We've talked about going over - what hotel are you staying at? We talked about staying over in Eureka Springs since it's so close and that way we would be out all off the confusion? Will you be going for the entire time?
  21. I am going to pass this on to my daughter in Florida who teaches 2nd grade. It sounds like something that her class could do for him.
  22. Gary, glad to hear that you had a good night and wonderful memories. My father happens to like fruitcake and he has a specific bakery that makes his favorite. I always order him a fruitcake from this bakery for his Christmas present, this year was no different. Except for the fact that my oldest daughter was shopping on the internet and ran across fruitcakes, remembered her grampa likes them and ordered one for him. Okay now he has 2 fruitcakes headed his directions. A week later my youngest daughter called and mentioned that she bought grampa a present for Christmas - you guessed it a third fruitcake. I think my parents will still be eating fruitcake on the 4th of July this year.
  23. Heck, if someone shows up on one of those pigs we're have a good old fashion pig roast in the back yard instead of the meet and eat! Find me a pit and a spit, and some good old hickory firewood.:whistling::whistling: and goodbye pig.... Just wanted to get the meet and eat on as many calendars as possible since we've never done this before...
  24. Hey PVSoonerFan since you're new around here wanted to make sure that you saw this meet & eat we're planning in April. Would be great if you could make it. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=18270 BTW - in Pauls Valley I would suggest that you stay on the lookout for a wiley old fellow riding a 1st gen from Texas who gets your town on a regualar basis. Wild Hair39 - LA Pryor shows up in your part of Oklahoma pretty often.
  25. If you take Lowell's route and want to stop in the Tulsa area to check on us - give us a head's up so I can have the pie in the oven.
