I second that. There are so much Things which shouldn't happen or shouldn't have been designed the Way they are. Someone was afraid by the small Carb Diameter and made the Decision to bring the Heater in. Maybe it was Mikuni, when they designed the Carbs and found icing on one Occasion under specific Circumstances. They reported to Yamaha and somebody said, "Let's don't take any Chances here. We have a solid Reputaion to defend, that's why we stick to Cassette Deck. Icing of the Carbs shouldn't happen at all. Lets go with Heaters". Mikuni sure is happy when they can sell something extra.

There is a little Part of Mesh right in that Area. It's supposed to be white, but it may be clogged and therefore the Mike underneath is not able to get any Information at all. Happens all the Time when this Area gets wet and the Mesh is glogged by Water.

Not a Problem, I Kind of guessed it anyway. But somewhere else on Forum's you could have been suspended for 2 Days or so ...

No need yelling at us. Typing in CAPS is consider yelling ... Yes, you can check with the Shop Manual, there are the Specs of the Sensor stated.

Do those NASCAR's even have the Steering Gear set up for turning to right ??

I for one never ever heard of Carbs on V4 Motor being iced up. I don't know why they put these Heater in the RSV, but the new VMAX hasn't Heater either. Probably it's because of the smaller 32mm Carbs producing a faster Airflow in the Venturi. If i had them on my Bike, i'd disconnect them the next Time i'm near the Connector. Makes no Sense.

http://www.starvmax.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&Itemid=54&func=view&catid=15&id=36588&limit=10&limitstart=10#36606 Look at the Pic there. Do they Look as the where Freshman ? The first Run under 10 with a '09 Max... I've seen the Movie with Anthony Hopkins as an old Coot running down Bonneville these Days. It's based on a true Story and i'm not ashamend to admit i shed more than one Tear. Did you see this Movie ?? It may be true that old Dogs can't learn new Tricks, but who says the old Tricks don't work anymore ?? Drag Racing or Land Speed Racing are not tricky, get on the Line, start and run this Thing as if you're hating it. Your personal Time doesn't Matter much, it's just to do it ...

Granted, a higher Tone seems a bit louder and maybe gets a bit more Attention in first Place, a lower Tone inflicts the Cagers the Vision of a Truck dimensioned Vehicle which might expose a bigger Thread to them and therefore will get them more alert. You can see numerous Vids on Youtube where stupid Guys mounted a Train Horn to their Car and scared the C..p out of People around them. On the Starvmax Board was a Guy nearly blasted off his '09 by two youngins with big and very loud Train Horn in their Car. I didn't want to open a Discussion over this, just make all aware of the Truck Sound Option. I like the lower Tone Idea. I drive Trucks sometimes and i know very well about how the Appearance of a Truck works for Cargers. In this Case, it's only a Appearance by Sound, but it will help.

If you refer to the right Side Mirror Mount Thread, that's M10x1.25 LH. http://mdmetric.com/prod/widell/LH.tap.die.htm Depending on what you're planning to do, you may have a Look on a Thread Former instead of a standard Tap. I use them Formers lately more often and i'm very satisfied with the Threads generated. You can use them by Hand or in a Machine with no negative Effects. Threads in Aluminium are more stable than cutted Threads. Only "Downside" is you have to get yourself used to different Boring Diameters.

You can pull out the right Side(Brake Side) Ball Bearing with a Bearing Puller or drive it out through the left Side Needle Bearing with Punch or Drift. There is a Circlip underneath the Oil Seal which you have to take out first. -

You have a Floater Valve stuck and the Fuel is coming ot of on of the Vent Hoses. You could try to fix this by adding Sea Foam to the Fuel or even let the Fuel Pump fill the Bowls with pure Sea Foam and tap the Carb Bowls with the Plastic Grip of a Screwdriver. This might loosen the stuck Floater Valve. -
I'm currently in Process of purchasing a Horn for my new Ride and i stumbled over this Stebel Compact Truck Horn. This isn't for a Truck but the Frequency is nearly from a Truck Horn... I found Sound Bites for different Stebel Horns here on this Website http://www.valkmotorparts.com/products.php IMHO, this sounds very good. Might even give me one or another Laugh. I'm seriously considering this Horn.

If you don't miss any Acid, they probably will work just fine. If the Battery has lost Fluid, forget about it. Replacing the Electrolyte with Acid or destilled Water won't help anything.

No Sir, that won't happen. You can remove the Ball Bearing with a Bearing Puller or drive it out through the left Side, through the Needle Bearing, you need to replace it anyway. Then clean the Needle Bearing, grease it lightly, insert the inner Race and check the Slack and turn it through for several Turns. If you feel no Slack and no Bindings, you're good to go with that Bearing. Grease it very good, insert the Spacer and press the new Ball Bearing in Place. -
What's wrong on here lately ?? First we have lots of Folks changing their Nicks(Cubaru to name one of them), then that bad Unsnarley Bill Imposter on the Site, now it's Mini "admitting a Fault" ??? I think this has to stop ! Soon !! NOW, to be precise !!! You've done nothing wrong Mini, so no need to jump into the Fire.

On a second Thought, and seriously, we do that all the Time. When travelling with a Vmax, Space is VERY limited. So, you just pack your big Stuff and send it over to someone who's getting there by Car or even to the Hoster's Adress. Put some Tape into the Parcel to repack it when your going home on Sunday and there's allways somebody who can send it back to you. A Friend of mine travelled whole Germany two Years ago and had sent 4 Parcels on his Way to different Locations. Much easier than packing up everything on the Bike each and every Day. That's what 'Logistic' is meant to be.

Ya know Don, i'm not going to be there. I'm very sad about that, but i think i will have to hand that Job over to the Folks present and experienced with Tents. I think there's a Guy who owns and runs the Red Roof Inn, he might be the one somebody needs to talk to. Beside that, i figure you didn't want to read the fine Print ?? :rotf:

Night riding on the interstates -- what's the big deal?
Squeeze replied to Dave77459's topic in Watering Hole
We Vmax Riders had a really good Time making Fun about those Vest-wearing Folks on their fairly overpowered BMW's... You know our Motto here's "in Boost we thrust", refering to the V-Boost on the Vmax. A Friend of mine got such a Vest given to him at a Meeting. The Embroidery said " In Warn Vest we thrust" ... -
Biggest contribute on a Wobble Situation is the Bikes Geometry, Steering Head Angle, Lenght of the Fork, resulting Trail, and improper maintained/setted Head Bearings. On any Venture. Obvious Room for Improvement is solid Motor Mounts, proper setting of the Bearings, on Steering Head and Swingarm and round Seats of the front Bearings.
