  1. What browser are you using (and what version)? I have experienced problems uploading images to places such as Craigslist. I use an older version of Maxthon but to get the pics uploaded, I've had to switch to IE. No problems here tho.
  2. Can't see how it could be a result of what you did. I have been self-employed in the IT business for many years as well as have done various other "jobs" for friends, family, and acquaintances. I've always stood behind my work and if something didn't go right, Early in the "game", I often wound up loosing out on my own leisure time activities. The one thing I learned is ... their world won't come to an end if you can't get at it when they want you to. In your case, if they took it to a "regular" shop, that shop would do the best they could to accommodate.... but that might not be as convenient as the customer would like. My advice to you is to manage your time ... do the best you can for them but save some time for yourself too ... they will just have to "deal with it" if they don't like it. BTW, I am no longer self-employed .... I had no life then

yep, about 1/2 way to Cody .....
  5. Lucky you !!!!
  6. RE: the ear pieces ... since our helmets have "pockets" for it, the ear pieces were easy to install ... they aren't really that big so you shouldn't have any issues. RE: the Mike/cable .... the cable is easy to remove and I just swing the mic up beside the helmet when not being used. To remove it, you have to remove the bracket holding it on ... not really a PITA, but more trouble than it's worth if you're going to just be putting it back on again another day.
  7. We have the J&M headset/mic setup. We bought the lower-priced ones ($100 each) and while they're not the best, they serve the purpose. http://www.jmcorp.com/ProductDetail.asp?ProductID=HS-8154B-OF&PF=12
  8. Also considering what allwx stated, it would seem to me that if you put a bent axle into the wheel, what difference would it make where the bend was insofar as how freely the wheel turns .... ????
  9. Considering what allwx stated, I'm wondering why the axle wasn't marked from factory to begin with?
  10. Loosen the 4 bolts that hold the pumpkin on. It's possible you might need to shim that.
  11. Is it possible you didn't put the washer in properly? If I recall correctly, it should go between the swingarm and the caliper bracket....
  12. On another note, when you clean and grease the hub pins, you are supposed to insert them, check for ease, rotate, insert, check for ease, etc until you find where they slide in the easiest. Is it possible there's confusion here and this is what is really meant?
  13. I've never heard of this either. Been here on this site for almost 5 years and this is the first time I've heard about it. Had an '85 VR, and '87 VR and now the '06 ... pulled the axle more times than I can count ... don't recall any issues with the axle ... generally when I remove it, I will turn it while pushing it from the opposite side with a long punch or something... if it was bent, I would think I'd feel it.
  14. Eliminate the kilometers??? Do you mean on the trip meter? ... if so, yes, just hit the reset. EDIT: wait a min... you're in the USA and you got a Canuck bike...right? Got no answer for ya on that but think of it this way .... you're in tune with most of the rest of the world
  15. If I did that, we wouldn't be going to Cody... we'd be going to the ladies clothes store instead!
  16. Well, I understand what a debit card does... been using them for years... but when you insert your credit card into the pump and it asks... Debit or Credit ... specifically what does each mean? Like... if you choose Debit, does it debit your chequeing account ? or if you use Credit, does it go against your Visa?
  17. I am still very confused about this (being from Canada, we don't have this...at least not here) ... what is the difference between Debit or Credit?
  18. Whenever I get gas, when it asks if I want to fill up, I say "NO" ... and then it asks for an amount... of which I only enter $20 .... that is what it will pre-authorize for.
  19. The question here is..... did you find a circuit tester? LOL
  20. Vic, I will have one... it's a Dell Latitude E5500 c/w wireless network. Has Windows XP, Word, Excel, Access, etc
  21. "appear" being the operative word here... I did that and found several threads/posts with only the words "fuel" or "filter" in them. Yes, you get a lot of "hits" because of that and therefore you have to scroll thru a lot of unnecessary stuff to find what you're actually looking for.... unless you get tired of looking first.
  22. Usually... but apparently not in this search engine.
  23. That's all fine and dandy ... if you happen to have either the old filter out or know the size.
  24. That's not exactly the one I was thinking of but it will certainly do the job. What's funny (to me) about this is that I posted several times in that thread and I couldn't even find that one! .... actually when I did the search for "fuel filter", there was so many that came up I just stopped coz I always figgure "there's gotta be an easier way than this.." .... On that note, how does a guy search for things in here containing two or more words such as in a phrase so that only posts with that specific phrase come up? (I must be missing something...)
  25. I am trying to do a search for posts containing the words "fuel filter". I don't want posts containing only the word "fuel" nor do I want posts containing only the word "filter". I want posts containing both words. How do I do this? And, if you're reading this and know the answer to the following, it would save me searching... What fuel filters (in-line, non stock) can I use instead of replacing the stock one (brand & part #)? I recall reading a while back where someone posted this info inclucing pics ... there was a metal one that I'm particularly interested in. My end result will be to install an in-line filter in the line under the seat and eliminate the stock filter. I've read several posts about this but for the life of me I can't find the ONE POST that lists the specific filter I want.
