hi i have the bf goodrich t/a radial p155/80r15. installed it last april now have almost 17,000 miles on it. when it wears out i am going to try a p165/80r15. so far i been well pleased with it. it's not a mod for everyone, just take it easy for 300 to 500 miles to skuff it end and get used to the feel. go read the post's on the darkside form. there are pro's & con's on doing this. the important thing you make up your own mind & always be safe. pm me or call me, my # is on my profile page if you have any questions. best reguards don c.

hi ray i pulled my tralier to the 08 international rally in kitchener,ontario. my trailer was fulley loaded with stuff straped to the top. the only time the trailer would wiggle is when a 18-wheeler would pass me or i pass them. and only by the rear tandam axels ( i guess the wind buffeing) but not the rest of the truck. how about the tire pressures on the trailer i think it put the max air pressure in my trailer tires. i don't think i helped you much maybe someone else will chime in with more experiance. best reguards don c.

finally someone figured out whats wrong with our van

yammer dan did the tech check the front disk brake roters to see if thy are warped /out of round? at what speed does the shimmy start? is it worse when you use the brakes? if the front end is set up properly you should be able to let go of the steering wheel and the car/truck should track stright for a little while. i think as some else suggested have all tires balanced & rotated and try that. cindy glad you got your van fixed. the little things can drive you nuts. best reguards don c. -

who said it was going to be a 2nd gen? could this be a 3rd gen? with a 160 hp motor, O the possibilites. i can get in enouth trouble all ready. i wounder if i took some vacation time & fly to japan would they let me tour the factory. mabe i could sneak abound the r&d department? don c.

You get em Tatters. I noticed it's the same guys as usual on here. Guess the rest know better. hay buddy now i have keep my thoughts to my self. but you are a fellow texan and i have never meet the little ladies that you have stired up. now you know in the deep south we respect and protect our little ladies but a glove has been thrown down. i like the idea of whips & chains, i'am all ready on the dark side with a c/t. so i'll help cover your back. this could get ugly old division saying " i am a lover, a fighter, a gunboat rider" don c.

on my rsv the bike starts to sputter & then i flip the handle to reserve. low light does not come on yet, i can go a couple of miles more the the speedo starts to count up. i think some were about this time the low fuel light comes on. will have to test it this weekend to double check, but will carry a gas can w/ some back up fuel. 'cause the rsv is too heavy to push very far. best reguards don c.

hi alan i bought a dodge dakota quad cab new in 2000, i now have over 156,000 miles on it. back in 2003 i replaced the upper and lower ball joints with moog's that had grease fittings. didn't have problems like some owners did ,but most of the front end problems were with the 4-wheel drive trucks. i have the v-6 engine and have been happy with it. so far i have not had any trouble with the engine, does not use any oil. if the engine ever goes south i'll just rebuild or replace it. since i bought my quad cab there have been more manufactures building quad cabs. if you could go to the international auto show, you could see and set in the different models. hope this helps. best reguards don c.

hi all thanks for all the replys. i myself never given the "whine" a thought. i had my rsv a couple of years before i joined the site. then foud out about the "whine". about a year ago i meet the wife of owner of the yahama dealer in kerrville at a gas station. we were talking about the ride we had done on the 3 sisters. she asked me had i noticed the "whine". i told her no but then i have bub's exhaust pipes on. and that i had not noticed it. i don't notice it like kbay does on his rsv at idle. kreg next time we meet up i'll let you drive my rsv to see if mine has it. yep i can see a mini mx day. best reguards don c.

hi all kbay as me a question about if you could use a vmax clutch basket in our rsv's? we have never heared of the "whine" issue in the vmax. anyone have ideas? best reguards don c.
