  6. brad forrest city, ark is about 80 miles south of memphis. have stayed there different times and at different motels (quality inn is one) but joyce says the prices seem to keep going up. brinkley, ark is just a little futher south. these two towns will keep lonna on the west side of little rock. hope, ark is south of little rock joyce has stayed there, but i have not. when lonna gets to texarkana she will need to take 59 south that runs all the way to houston. don c.

  9. good morning frank the car tire sizes are 155 or 165/80-15. the 155 i belive is about 1/2 or so shorter than the stock m/c tire. the 165 is about the same as the stock m/c tire. these sizes are bout the only tires that will fit our rsv's with no swing arm clearnce issues. the car tires will fit our rims ok but it takes more air pressure to seat the tire bead on our rims. i have about 21,000 miles on my c/t. installed it last april by my self took about a 100 psi to seat, must use some kind of lube around the tire beads to help it seat. read the darksider foems to read more. any of us darksiders here will be glad to answer any of your questons. best reguards don c.

  11. hi don & all just want to thank everyone envoled in my receiving my lasted award. james burell was the one who hosted the the mx day at his house. he is the one who should be receiving the award, all i did was help as much as i could. i have waited a couple of days to say anything. 'cause i really did nothing but to help where i could. which i feel any venturerider would have done. again thanks to all. best reguards don c.
  12. yep i'am using 40 psi also. have used 32-36 but have settled on 40 psi. don c.

  16. hi monty i bought a used 2 gen 3 1/2 years ago, couldn't affored a new rsv or another bike. fell in love with this one and did good to get this one financed. never looked at a 1'st gen didn't know they exised till after i got my 2'nd gen. there are a lot of good people on this site. we have fun and have made fun at each other. but isen't that what family & friends do is poke fun at each other. the ventureriders are a big family all willing to help where they can. hope you stay around. best reguards don c.
  17. all i can tell you is i'll have had my rsv for nearly 31/2 years now. never had a flat on the rear tire m/c or c/t. now this being said i probley just put a hex on my good luck. don c.
  18. hay i am from the south and didn't know the rearend was called a "chunk". don c.
  19. i too have been happy with my bfg, starting to wear in the middle but still a lot of tread left. but with 20,000 miles i can't complane. don c.
  20. kite last year when i pulled my drive shaft out for mx. i didn't see or pay any attention to those 2 holes in the pumpkin. when i lubed everything i just used axel / wheel bearing grease on everything. when i pulled everything apart saturday, i noticed the splines were almost dry on the u-joint side of the drive shaft. the rear splines had some lube on them from the splash of the ring & pinion gear. now i also drained the lube out of the pumpkin before removeing it from the swing arm. the fingers going into the hub were dry also, just like the first time. i will use the moly 60 this time and give that a try. may have to lube more often since i a'm getting better milage with my car tire. don c.
  21. #34 and #33 slide down the shaft #35 goes on after the other two are in place. don c.
  22. the part # is 93108-43013-00 this is the new number. it is listed in the ipc as # 33. don c.
  23. i even tryed the online order for www.cyclepartsnation.com the earlyest i could get one from them was the 24'th of march. and that was paying for ups next day service. looking back i would say don't pull the shaft out of the pumpkin if you don't have too. keep it all together, do pull the assy. out of the swing arm and do use moly60 on the forward splines. don't feel the rear spline need to have moly 60 as it gets splashed lube from pumpkinand the moly 60 would just wash off. just my 2-cents. the other online web site is www.yamahasportsplaza.com in seattle, wash. thanks don c.
  24. when i finaly receive my new drive shaft oil seal i will be puting some lube around the lip so it won't be so hard to pull out of the pumpkin next time. we do this on airplanes, but they have groves that they fit into. the lube is to help from puting a nick or tear in the seal /o-ring as you reassemble. didn't think would have to do this on the pumpkin, but i will do it this time. thanks all don c.
  25. just to update new part number for the drive shaft oil seal is now #93108-43013-00 if you order on line ipc shows old # but on checkout converts to new #. been to 3 dealers on northside of houston no one keeps any in stock. called sportsplazza in seattle, wash. they gave a ship time of march 24-31 if i ordered today. said they don't keep it in stock either. don c.
