Just came in from working on trailer.I got all the diamond plate panels cut and fitted to the trailer.Got the door frame cut down and resized, the door has two sheets of diamond plate back to back so when the door is opened it will still look finished.I am using two handle and locks that match the trike on the door.Notice the cooler rack that is some alum.grating I picked up at the salvage yard while I was buying the diamond plate.I am also installing a large brake light above the door.Well got to go and clean up the mess in the garage.Jerry M

Larry I will be painting it to match the trike and there will be diamond plate where the windows and door were.

Charlie I think you hit the nail on the head.If you are healthy then ride a two wheeler if not and you still want the feeling then Trik it.I have around 4000 miles on mine now and realy enjoy it I just now got all the air presure adjusted and it handles a lot better now.Just thought I would reply to your post.I hope you continue riding.Jerry M

I would say about 1000 pounds,It rolls very easy and I don't have to balance it while trying to back it up.It is about 10 feet long and 56' wide so you need to be aware of the size when in a parking lot or going to the drive through at the bank or getting gas,you could loose a fender.

The kit is from Tri-Wing Ind.They are in Canada. The kit I used is the 2nd.gen.it uses the stock swing arm. They are a quality product.the body's are flawless.

I would say go with the RSTD it looks more like a crusier but rides like a touring bike. That is why I bought mine.I had a 1500 Intruder for 5 years and loved it.I was wanting something smoother and when I saw the 05 TD I fell in love with it.I have sence built a trike out of it because of health reasons, but I am still riding.Jerry M

John; I don't know how you would go about using different risers on the RSTD the speedo mounts to your stock risers.I just installed a set of flanders handlebars on my 05 RSTD. and got the set back I needed and kept the stock cables.Hope this helps. Jerry M

I think Harbor Freight just had there 40X48 trailer on sale for $179.00 reg.$229.00 you can buy a car top carier from Pep Boys for $89.00 and that is all you need I used diamond plate for the deck instead of plywood. This trailer comes with 12'' wheels, the key is maint.just grease bearings every year and you shouldn't have a problem.Jerry ps. It tows great.

Sailor; what year merc.do you have?Jerry M

It is hard to say how long it took, you could build the trike in a week if you had everything you needed.I added a few things to the body I molded the license plate into the trunk lid,Installed Diamond plate to the inside of the trunk, increaced the depth of the trunk by cutting a 22'x8'' hole out and adding a box with lid now I have extra storage.I also molded aluminum to the side of the body where it bolts to the orig.frame to enclose it better.I made the bumper out of a custom truck grill and used what I had left for the luggage rack, worked out great.I also took a rear spoiler from a 87 buick and cut it down mounted it on the rear above the trunk. The color is the oem color for 05 RSTD.I think that is about all I did.Jerry M
