  1. CoComo's sounds fine to me (if I remember how to get there). I will be there little before 1:00pm.
  2. Companies care about bottom line. http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcycle-news/statistics/motorcycle-sales-statistics.htm I dont think we will see any new changes until sales pick up industry wide. Then... maybe yamaha will take a chance on updating the Royal Star line. Actually, I dont mind the carburators. The V4 1300 has been around for a long time, it has proven itself a good engine. There are plenty of used parts available (less expensive) and a lots of threads here on "do it yourself" again saving me $$$
  3. I will be watching for updates, I am off-call that weekend and will meet you in Parkersburg for lunch.
  4. In my area, most of the traveling is two-lane road with speed zone of 55mph. I will slow down in the passing zones to encourage them to pass, will motion for them to pass. If they dont, I slow down to create the 4 second following distance between my back tire, and their front bumper. They take advantage of the next passing zone, and pass. Remember people.... Safety First.
  5. Has anyone tried, or heard anyone using the Fuel Fragrance additives ? Do they work ?
  6. you cant beat Rt. 16 from St. Marys to Gauley Bridge WV for twisties. If anyone passes through give me a call.
  7. I am a new member... I looked at a few of the forms, really found alot in the tech talk section here. I also looked at other free sites. The people here seem interested in helping each other, and new members. Paying just a little money before being allowed to post will deter many people who like to join forms to create drama, and belittle others for asking questions. $12 dollars a year is well worth the investment to be part of a great site!! Congrats to everyone here for running, and making up such a great place, where new members feel welcome!! Thank you.
  8. I picked up a couple of the w/m gel pads, one for driver and one for passenger. Wife is measuring, cutting and sewing them for a custom fit on our RSTD. Will follow up on how the mod goes. 8/16/10 I went for a little ride today, 50 miles with the gel pad, 50 miles back with bead-rider beads... seems for that short distance, I like the gel pad my wife modified to fit the seat better. The beads were very cool, and I could feel the air flow under me. my 2 cents worth.
  9. Good Luck, prayers are with you.
  10. between 1 and 100....... 69
  11. I added air to mine, running approx 30# in the rear... I used a bicycle hand pump.... it does not take much to add air quick!
  12. I have used a set of regular Frogg Toggs for years, they would let rain in around the cuffs. I found a set called "Hog Toggs" by frogg togg, great raid suit... added reflective piping and velcro fasterners around the cuffs to seal out the rain. Love them.
  13. The exception to me waving at another rider is ... I am in a turn dragging a floorboard... even then, I will nod to acknowledge them.
  14. The new cellphones ( I-phone, blackberry, samsung rougue) have GPS capability, and give turn by turn directions, you can bluetooth them to a wireless headset, such as the Cardio scalarider Q2 or G4.
