My RSTD is Blue Thunder My kids were used to hearing my kawaski voyager which sounded like a sewing maching. When I got the RSTD it had roadhouse slip on, so the kids started teasing me about taking out blue thunder. My Kawasaki Voyager is Little Red.

I ship several bikes a year and have found overall that uship is a hit and miss for meeting the set times. So keep that in mind as you ship. also make sure your shipper is insured for hauling your bike and tell them how you want it strapped. Federal is a pretty reliable group and the bike will be enclosed the whole time, but they will have a long lead time. You can expect in the united states an average of $600 for shipping. Have you thought about just hauling it yourself? Price of 2 airfare tickets, bike shipping compared to hauling the bike and having a backup vehicle for inclimate weather??

I a member of The AMA( but not active), The American Voyager Association, Star Touring and Riding, The GL1800 forum, and here of Course. I very much enjoy each one and have been blessed by the people I have met and gotten to know from being in these organization. I think alot of people like belonging to different organizations, but really just want to ride and not deal with the politics of a large/global organization, So forum based organizations are good alternatives to that. There are just as many rides and get togethers here as any of the other organization I belong to and whether they have met you before or not it is like old friends day or a family reunion when you go. Find a balance would be my recommendation.

It took me almost a year to realize that I had just had my most memorable christmas. this went all the way back to thanksgiving of 2000 my mom had missed thanksgiving because of a massive stroke, on that ultimately should have killed her. Somehow through miracle of God she survived and was out of the hospital by Christmas. Due to Her recovery she came to live with me for a short time. My mom loved christmas and had does all her shopping all year round, each family would get this huge 4 foot stocking, not to mention the 4 lawn and leaf garbage bags for presents. Well she panicked that she did not have enough for each grandchild and made me go through and count all the presents and we went from store to store so she could even it out, we finally finished and christmas time came. My kids woke up and ran in to get grammy and the 4 hours present opening session began. Excitement with every package and my moms beautiful smile and funny grin accompanied everyone. We then proceeded to our whole family christmas with all eleven grandkids circled around grandma just waiting for her to give them something. All of us there together thinking we had forever together. The day after thanksgiving 2001 my mother passed away of cancer. I still sit down and watch the videos of that christmas to hear my mom laugh and the grandchildren scream with joy..If I could only have 1 more!

This was in the article as well: Ninety-two percent of the motorcyclists killed in Wisconsin last year were not wearing helmets, although this year it seems closer to the 10-year average of about 70%, according to preliminary figures.

Wide Open Custom has been making and selling fairing 7 years now. We have sold up to 70 Royal Star fairings alone thus far this year. We use a sturdy ABS plastic for our fairings. Our fairings are one piece fairings, they will hold together longer than most. They are strong and when we first started making them we put them to the test. for example, we dropped a fairing off of the water tower here in our town and it didnt bust, also we shot it with a shot gun as a test against rocks and chipping and the bbs stayed inside the plastic! We provide 4 speakers holes and a stereo cover. As far as mounting is concerned, 75% of our bikes will mount with our mounting brackets and the factory winshield brackets, however there are a few bike types that this isnt the case, some use Memphis Shade clamp around brackets. Currently our turn around rate is 1-3 days and then of course you have to include shipping time. There are some reviews that customers have posted on our website. We have also got word from customers that we are mentioned on some Yamaha form cites. Please let me know if you have any more questions regarding our fairings, we would be happy to assist!

Reckless has a fiberglass fairing set up and is the only one that has a fairing without a stereo system for $350 Wide open customs has a onepiece abs molded fairing which is/or should be more durable than fiberglass..
