  1. I hope everyone had a great Xmas and all the best in the New Year!!!!!
  2. Good job on the video, very helpful. One question, does this system have a shuffle feature (you select the shuffle feature and it ramdomly plays songs)?
  3. Tracfones, you buy them in Walmart for $9.99 and then purchase a 60 minute card which they usually double the minutes. The 60 minute card gives you 90 days of service and the 60 minutes (as stated previously these are usually doubled). Ask the clerk in Walmart to activate the phone in the store, most will do and if not go to their customer service and they usually actvate the phone for you immediately.
  4. Maddog If you are referring to the one that mounts on top of the tank (which is the one I was looking for) google "Pinwall cycle parts ebay", that will take you to there site. Then in the search box type in, "Intercom Cable" and you will see they list a Yamaha Venture Royal Star XVZ1300 Intercom Cable. These were the cables I bought, they send you 3 different cables and the one you want is one of the three cables. I haven't installed the cable yet but it looks like a straight unplug and plug in the new cable. You will probably have to split the fairing to unplug the old cable and plug in the new cable. Maybe someone with more experience can chime in and advise. I hope this helps. You probably have already checked but if not I would check my cord going to my helmet to make sure that it is not the one defective before replacing the one on the tank. Dana
  5. Thanks for the offer Wayne but I took a chance last night and ordered a set from Pin Wall. Thanks again Dana
  6. They run very quiet and I am usually playing music which doesn't help. I have heard when I turned off the tunes and listened for it specifically on very hot days.
  7. Thanks for your replies, I see it is #44 as it is for my 2004 RSMV. Thanks again Dana
  8. I have to replace the cable that sits on top of the gas tank (CB/Headset cable). When installing the driving lights I noticed the cable was frayed so at the time I just tucked it up under the cover on the gas tank as I don't usually use the CB. Does anyone know what cable this is called as I have talked to the people at Pin Wall and they are not sure which cable I need. I noticed some call them intercom cables and some say it is a CB cable. They have a bunch listed on ebay. I would like to know which is the proper cable so I don't order the wrong one. Possibly someone on here could look at Pin Wall site or ebay site and send me a link or ebay number. Thanks in advance Dana
  9. If only it had a cassette deck!!!!!!!
  10. I know it has been said before but can never be said too many times, thanks Gary and Ann for you great hospitality!!!! Also thanks to Owl and all the others who helped to put on a great great great weekend. I had a nice ride home yesterday, the wind was at my back and sunny all the way. The border crossing took about 45 minutes which wasn't all that bad. The border crossing agent asked me where I was and I told him I was at a motorcycle rally and he questioned me about being at a rally and not buying anything for the bike, I told him I bought a bottle of Tequila but it wasn't for the bike it was for me......they don't have much of a sense of humour!!!! It is certainly a good group of people who attended and yes that includes Bubber even if Mike doesn't agree. All the best and thanks again, hope to see you all at future rallies or back at the Pork in the Pines!!!!!
  11. Thanks for your help, definitely going to re route our trip. Thanks again
  12. I would appreciate if some of you could help with some info on the various highways as I am leaving on a trip on Saturday thru North Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, Utah and wherever from there. I would like to know if there are any problems with following roads, ie., closures, bad pavement, gravel sections. We are going via: North Dakota highway #5 to #85 to Williston,ND Out of Williston down #200 to Sydney #16 out of Sydney to Glendive I94 to Miles City #59 to Broadus and onto to Gillette then to Wright #387 out of Wright to I25 to Casper Out of Casper to #220 to Muddy Gap Then #287 to #28 and then down to #191 to Rock Springs and then onto Dutch John Then wherever I have looked on the various road condition reports but I thought it would be more accurate from fellow motorcyclists, especially when dealing with roads with gravel, etc. Thanks Dana

    Protect All

Tom you are right it is a great product, I have all kinds of expensive waxes and I keep going back to the protect all. I have been using it for a few years now.
  14. I am leaning towards the 550 but I see some of the reviews are saying the sound quality of the MP3 player is poor. If you have one please advise. Thanks
  15. The main features I want are the navigation and the MP3 player. Is the 550 my best bet? I really don't think I will use features like loading in trips, etc.
  16. Planning a trip to California. Flying into LAX, renting a car and starting from there. (Motorcycle trip planned for the next month) Going for approx 10 days and would like to head up the Pacific Coast Hwy as far as Eureka possibly or suggestions. What other suggestions do you have as far as must see and routes in this area. Keep in mind I have seen LA south to San Diego.
  17. Autosol it's a great product, worked the best of all I tried.
  18. I have a 2004 RSMV and the front brakes are extremely noisey and very annoying. The bike only has 22K KM (approx 13750 Miles) and still has the factory pads. Even though they are still good I want to change them to get rid of the noise. I as thinking about going to the EBC and was wondering which pads, the organic, ceramic, ????? Please advise.
  19. I just did the casings on an 89 Royale this past winter. I tried Mothers, Never dull but the best product I used was what Silvert stated, autosol. I polished the casings right on the bike. I rubbed the autosol on with a cloth and then used polishing/buffing wheels on my dreamal. It requires a little bit of work but the casings came out like new. Autosol works great.
  20. Just installed the Wolo on my bike with Carbon One wiring kit and bracket. It worked great but as stated if you are installing the Wolo you will need a spacer.
  21. I have a Markland I took off of my 89 Royale. I don't know what the shipping would be from Canada to you. Send me a private message.
  22. I ordered a hopnel tank bib and when it arrived I tried to install it and the gas filler hole was to small and was cut about 3/4" to low for the filler opening. What is happening with this product as I have seen other people with the same problem on this site. I sent a email to the company yesterday that I purchased it from but haven't heard from them yet. How many have had this problem, are these still made by Hopnel or is it a different company????
  23. Congrats Rick, I hope you enjoy your retirement. The nice thing about semi retirement is that you can work at a job and if you don't like it you can retire for awhile and then try something different or not!!!!!
  24. Are the eye brows there for a reason???? I've heard they are used to channel the water away from the windshield. Has anyone who have removed theirs noticed a difference riding in the rain or on wet roads?
  25. Abdul I bought this product in Winnipeg at a fastener supply store named Catton.
