  1. Don't know when you are coming to fix Roxie but I should be home Friday evening. If you take the tire off we will find a place to get it put on Saturday. Don't rush it as she is safe and no problem in the garage.
  2. Glad you guys made it back safe. Roxie is doing fine and enjoying her stay with a new found friend ( my Wing). Glad I could help you guys but most of all glad Zip Code is OK!
  3. If you really want to bring him out just mention FREE BEER
  4. Glad you have made it safely past the storms. Sure was worried you were in them.
  5. OK folks,I heard from Ponch and we talked better than an hour. First let me say he remembers some things and some folks but has a hard time with it. We talked about our last visit with him In route to Cody and while we were there. Bottom line..He doesnt remember much of it at all. The one thing that I feel everyone needs to know, because he told me, is that he appreciates everything ALL of you folks did with the Prayers and thoughts. He can not get on here to Thank all of you because he cannot see that well and has trouble getting the words from his mind to come out on here so it has been frustrating. Whether or not he stays on the site will be totally up to him and his progress..he is having trouble focusing, He said it hurts him to get around motorcycles..I dont know if he misses it or it brings back bad memories. I do know he asked me to relay this message to all of you for what you have done, with that he really teared up and I knew it was heartfelt. I only hope I got this message as he wanted it...If I drifted to far the bottom line from Ponch is "Thank You All ! "
  6. Thanks Big Tom.. I know when I was involved in one of the Rallies it had to be really pushed but the sales started picking up each time we posted and towards the final dates we always accomplished the goal.. I guess people get busy and time flies. Appreciate the effort you guys are putting into it.
  7. Please dont take this the wrong way but I have been here a long time and I dont know what a sticky section is? I had to do numerous searches to fing the trailer raffle info? May be posting a link each time MAY help. Again not trying to be a smart^$$ but It may just be me not being that computer literate and some new members MAY have navigating troubles. I hope this helps and you all have a successful Rally. Again,PLEASE dont take it the wrong way.
  8. What you say about the water shedding off is absolutely true! I cannot see over my F4 Windshield on my Wing,(I have the +2 model for the Wing) except when I lower it to the lowest position but I find no need to do that.Amazing. The fun part of having this shield is all the folks that come over and start telling me Im going to scratch it using paper towels. It is actually recommended by F4 and it DOES work better using paper towels.
  9. Name the time. When you are on RR 32 about 3.6 miles before you get to HWY 281 you will see an old rusty International cabover truck in a field to the right. I live down that road. Tell me where to meet in Luchenbach and we will try and be there.
  10. Scooter Bob, if you need a place to stay over here in the Luckenbach area (30 minutes to Luckenbach) we have 2 extra bedrooms and baths reserved here for you.
  11. I have more privacy issues with Emails that are forwarded with a ton of other recipients on the email. I KNOW those email addresses are somehow captured by spammers down the line and constantly get SPAM I do not want and have have never even been to sites like that. When I send a forward, which is rare,I remove all the other recipients before sending. Same on FaceBook,I dont do any games or requests to join this that or the other because of same. Ive had no problems YET with facebook but I do watch what I put on there.because I KNOW employers do look into it IF it is public view...as far as employers asking for your password to see what you post,Id fight it tooth and nail and if I failed at that Id just go ahead and retire.
  12. SOON you will see where Redneck gets his dry sense of humor! Glad you are relaxing Redneck!!!

Besides, you could always have a steady income working on 1ST Gens if you did retire.

  17. I am so sorry for your loss. God Bless You and the Family.
  18. Have a great one Kenny!
  19. Most of the ones Ive ridden have the gear whine at different speeds,Mine had it worse around 62-68 MPH although I have sold it and moved on it was still a great bike. That being said only YOU know what you can live with and some people focus in on the whine and it seems to get louder if you do. IF Yamaha would add Fuel Injesction and update some things I would add another to keep my Wing company. My advise,Take it for a spin,at least 10-20 miles..you will hear the whine if it has it without a doubt!
  20. I understand your question and all I can say is we are not suppose to pull a trailer according to MC manufacturers. A CT is not a new thing at all, they have been using them since the 50s that I can remember, also my Dad says the harleys in his day used car tires...Go Figure??
  21. __________________ Chose not to install the tire on my bike due to this and the fact it would not seat with 80 PSI. Dont feel its good for a tires structure to exceed. Most tires seat "way under" max PSI. QUOTE]This is precisely why I Never tried it on my RSV..I know there are alot of guys that do run it on the RSV but that is one heck of a lot of stress on a tire airing it up to 80-100 lbs to make it seat. At appx 20 lbs , give or take, my CT seated on my GW rim. AGAIN,it isnt for everyone,I just report MY findings and opinion. After running it on my GW I will not run any MC tire on the GOLDWING...IF I ever get a RSV again it will be ONLY MC tires for it.
  22. YES!!! My BIG FAT ARSE
