    i had same trouble with 1st set of avons. i told them i don't want any tire that was over 2 years old. i get new tires now.

    I took mine off, had it marked where the cut goes. i held it buddy cut it i took 3" off . the top of shield is right under my nose , wind still goes over head & around me. Had no trouble.

    More air i run 42 front 48 back i think 12,000 miles on back is ok. Avon tires.

    Had both of mine replace./ Right one in 1998 & Left one in 2000. No problems They will be a little stiff for some people & some not. & i still Ride & play alot of Golf. ( 9 weeks & you can play golf & Ride. Get them Done in Nov. & when winter is over you are ready.

    I ride a 2006 RSV with 32,000 on her. Just 3 weeks ago it would start but then it would die. Like you i check the P- cock it was on. Called Dealer to come & get it. But i tryed again & it started to run. took ir over to dealer. He try it & it ran, so i said i would go home i did not get out of drive way & it died. it was the Fuel Pump My Warranty was up few days but Yamaha payed for it anyway LOL.

    I got mine New in 2006, i am 270 lbs & i think its a GR8 bike for any guy. But i am getting old & can't do the things that you are talking about any more. LOL Its going up for sale in the spring. i don't ride as far anymore, Wife can't ride no more, Looking at 650 Burgman or 400 burgman or silver wing Honda

    I had trouble with Avons side wall cracking. Replace two set for that problem. 3rd set Ok. Avons psi Chart is Base on 170 lbs man Avon told me to put in Front-- 42--- Back 48 .i am 270 lbs

    Avon told me to put ( PSI ) 42 Front 48 Back ) on the Venture thats base on 170 Man. So i am 270 lbs/ i am on by 3rd set Avons All had side wall cracking. This set Very little. i Ride a 2006 RSV

    No it don't get worse. i will have my 2006 RSV for sale in the spring ( MAY ) i love my bike but Back is getting worse. i am 73.

    Just Replace mine on my 2006 RSV. Where you turn the Key on you should heard the Fuel Pump. Some times i could here it & some times not. Put New one on A- OK

    My 2006 RSV would start then Stop. about 3 weeks ago. Let it set & try again it . I t started took over to Yaha,ma & it sat for about 30 mins. took off with it & it stoped running in 30 sec. LOL it was ( Fuel Pump. New one doing good. JIM

    I just had New avons put on last week. first two sets Bad Cracking. The New ones look good. PSI Avon told me to run 42 Front 48 Back as i am 270 Lbs i will be checking them close. DOT # F- 1010 B- 4410

    They raise the price, but they will sell you 2, 3, 4, year old tires at the price of @011. No way i refuse mine untill i got new ones. or the price of the 08,09,10. i just put new ones on last ones had Side wall cracking.

    I just got my 3rd set 1st two set Cracked at about 3000 miles. DOT # on sidewall is 4510, i will check them every week Time will tell. Avon told me that my PSI should be 42 Front 48 Back. & thats what i am going to run my RSV is about 876 lbs & me 270 lbs 1146 lbs on her. i will let you know how thing go this time around.

    Watch out for Side wall cracking on Avon they had a bad Batch. i got a new set coming 1st two set had the ( Cracking ) i am 270 & ride solo But Avon told me to use (2 up heavy psi 42/48 & thats what i got in mine. Good Luck

    Check your Avons, They told me they had some bad tires go outl my last to set had bad side wall cracking 2/ 4000 miles They replace both set got new ones coming. if bad going to elite 3 What PSI do you run

    I am waiting for my New Avons . My last two sets Had Bad Side wall cracking, What do you Ride & what PSI Do you Run Avon Said Solo Rider 38/42 2up- light 42/44 2up Heavy 42/48 Based on a 170 LBS Man ,i am 270 6' 2" told me go with 42/48 Whats your take on this.

    Avon replace my tires 2 times For side wall cracking. Got a new set coming , They told me they are working on the Prpblem. M/C Technical Product Manager, Told me in a E- mail to Run my PSI at 42/ 48 He said they were in the process of improving the sidewall rubber on our tyres to make them less prone to flex cracking.     I cut mine down so it is right under my nose & still keep wind off. i like to look over my Shield i cut 3/1/2" off of mine

One went with Treatment No Surgery, 2nd one had surgery, & Both are doing good, & the 3rd one is Just Waiting hes had it for 3 years hes 77 Good Luck QUOTE=gunboat;571261]hi all not sure if this is the right place for this but here goes. at kregerdoodles mx saturaday i have come out and told the houston bunch that i have prostate cancer. i have known about this for about a month now. brad and lonna were the first to know and keeped it to them selves until i was ready to go public (as i feel ya'll are my family). i wanted to tell ya'll my self. i'ts in the early stages and i will be talking to my doctor wedesday about having the operation. i have read the old post here about other members haveing this cancer, and i just want to REMIND everyone that it's very important for our male love ones to have the psa blood test. i will keep everyone updated as time goes own. see ya'll down the road some where. reguards don c.
