Stroker every week pulling a trailer, I can see the need for a Diesel. But what about pulling a trailer 12 times a year plus/minus the rest of the time just a vehicle. Is this hard on the diesel engine ? Brad

Well a little different opinion. Never had it done but was diagnosed with it years ago. I was working on autocad all day long and te wrist and forearm hurt like hell. Ended up with a different job and the pain went away. Not completely and occasionally bothers me but I change up or how I am doing something and the pain normally goes away. Face it with any surgury the risk potential is there, therefore the question is can you manage or minimize the discomfort, without the risk. I believe the longer you can wait the better it is, at least in most cases and pretty sure this is one that normally can wait. Medical marvels continue to improve, decreasing the risk factor and with shorter healing times. Best of luck with the decision either way. Good question as the problem needs to be narrowed down a little. Checked the braided ground wires from the unit under the fairing. Not sure what the unit is but it is Clarion and these had some issues in earlier years. Good luck Brad

Only if he has a vent line, early models did not have them. Seriously I changed a couple and don't remember removing anything. Oh well you won't get lost. Not that hard to figure out. Brad -

Need a bike lift just to take pressure off the bolts. This may have to be lowered and lifted ever so slight to get bolts out. Reverse is the same. Nothing needs to be removed to get at the bolts and remove the shock. Careful the heads of the bolts are not that thick a socket or wrench may slip or strip the head easily. Brad -

Not at all. Few sore ribs for a couple weeks is worth that. :rotf:Probably worried you would go after them for aches and pains. They were possibly just as happy as you to sign this one away. Up here your rates would double or triple for a couple years so they get there money back. Glad you wern't hurt too much Brad

My 99 had to split the fairing and grease up the plugs. Worked fine after that except for the loud sqealing noise every once in a while. Brad

Well cars of today may not last as long but seem to go alot further today in a much shorter time frame. Maybe in general they are made better, but is throw away pieces better. HAHA I tend to agree that the average life is not that long.

Sure go ahead and hijack a thread on car manufacturing which hijacked a thread on something. To answer your question it is not needed these topics come up in the Watering hole just fine, then they get hijacked just as good as if they were in their own section. Brad
