  1. First day of lay-off myself and two riders from work went for 500klm ride to Collingwood and surrounding area. Roads and scenery were great. Not to many trees were turning colour but it was a great ride anyway. Stopped for supper at Ted's Range Road Diner outside of Meaford (west of Collingwood)and had a Bison burger(good eats) . the menu was very broad including wild game allkinds of fish and sea food. He is biker friendly as one of my fellow riders seen his ad in in motorcycle magazine and as he doesn't open till 5:00pm his wife asked him and he opened at around 3:00pm just so we could have a meal(only burgers and fries with a drink) and be on our way. Would recomend this place for good food. Not much to look at from out side but all right inside. Looking forward to going to New York for the ride thru the mountains to see the leaves changing colour on the 13th of Oct.
  2. Reiny: I agree on your last rendering. Two thums up
  3. Well I just got back from my adventure to Kitchener. I was going to show up for the meeting but my floats stuck the same as they did before the ride to Fort Erie last Saturday. SORRY I won't make it as I will be draining carbs instead.Filled upwith gas after work in Ingersol and had supper--got changed and made it as far as Innerkip(10klm)and had to come home.
  4. Must have not checked my typing as I have an 87 not 78 Venture. But what I was explaining if you look at Skid's picture is the com wire on the opposite side panel I just run it up and over fake cover and mounted outlet in it's place.
  5. I have a 78 Venture Royale with intercom wire that is mounted on false gas tank and routs through left cover for radio. I took wire out of the mounting hole and just brought it up infront of cover and mounted power outlet in the hole instead. Works great. Probably no problem using it if you leave bike running and don't use anything that draws too much whattage. I have used mine to power GPS and charge phone but would wait to see if any-body has used theirs for any higher drawing things. Hope this helps. If you don't have a hole there you could use a hole saw to make one but be careful when you do that you don't hit anything. Phil
  6. Allen,My condolences also from another who has never met you but still considered family. I also share the many heart felt wishes for you and family.I hope they help you through this time.
  7. I also received a GPS but it was the Garman c530. I was told I could trade for the bike model if I wanted .It is on sale this week for $429can. reg. $600can.The problem is size of the screen. The bike model is a lot smaller which would be harder to read,so I will try it and see. I guess the only differences between the two would be size and water proof-ness? Are there any others?
  8. I checked at Honda shop in Norwich Ont. and was given a price of $79.95 + taxCan.
  9. Are you talking about the half round chrome covers that protect the forks from bug and stones? If so they are available through J&P Cycles. I can't give you the part number as my catalogue is at work but you could probably go online and find it. I think they are around $70U.S. I seen them the other day althow it was last years catalogue. Hope this helps. Phil
