  1. I rode a screaming eagle road glide last summer with my bride on the back. Within a half hour of back road 25 mph cruising, she couldn't take the heat on her right leg to the point she had to put her leg up on mine. Other than that I liked it just fine.
  2. The Mustang seat has been great for me. It moved me forward about an inch and got rid of the stabbing pain between m shoulder blades, and took the pressure off my tailbone.
  3. Yes NYC is about an hour and a half away. I'm right in Stroudsburg and my number's in the member directory, if I can be of any help.
  4. There is regular bus service to NYC from Delaware Water Gap. That is only 5 or 10 minutes from Shawnee on the Delaware. If you like casinos, Mt. Airy is about 15 minutes from where you're staying.
  5. You can wire in a flasher through a single throw two circuit toggle switch and feed it to the wires for the two rear turn signals. Everything will fit under the seat, and you can mount the toggle switch through one of the side covers. I hope this helps.
  6. NC is a reference to USS thread, NF refers to SAE thread.
  7. The Dragon is a fun ride, but you won't catch me going down there between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
  8. I've ridden all the roads you mentioned and they're all great in their own ways. Iron Mountain and Needles are much more scenic, but for all out riding and testing your ability and your bike's capability few places rival the Dragon. That boils it down to simplest terms.
  9. I used to have severe pain between shoulder blades after any extended riding period. I installed a Mustang seat to relieve the pressure on my tail bone, and the riding position is a little closer. The pain between my shoulder blades is also gone. I just did a 720 mile day and no pain.
  10. We spent a week down there in May. If anyone is looking for a nice private place to stay in that area, check out www.dunksplace.com . Jim was great to deal with and it's like having a home away from home.
  11. Just a suggestion for anyone drilling out the cap. If you slip a piece of vacuum hose over the bit with just about 1/8" of the bit exposed you won't do any damage.
  12. Highway pegs mounted on the engine guards did the trick for me. When it's cold you're protected. When it's hot hang your feet out and let the wind blow up your pantlegs.
  13. Stuff him full of apples and keep him smeared with jelly and he'll be juicy and sweet!!!!
  14. if you synch with the idle too slow and follow the factory manual, the screw they tell you to turn to synch # 1 and 2 is actually the one for 3 to 2 and the screw they show for 3 to 2 is acually the one for 1 to 2. This will cause exactly the condition you are describing. I literally pulled my hair out for 2 days until some kind soul on this site clued me in on Yamahas misprint.
