I think I have a sticking float?
Squidley replied to dkaiser's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Many times the 1st tank of the winter will run like crap until you run a tank of fuel through it. I always put seafoam or Stabil in while in storage and then when I take it out for the 1st real ride of the year and run it hard! Seems like if you run it like you hate it after winter storage and put another can of seafoam and fresh gas it clears right up and purrs nice. I second the statement of changing the plugs as they do foul easily, tapping the bowls is also good advise. -
Thats CRS is catching up with you my friend...this getting old can Suck!

It's a date Steve...but unfortunately Lonna is the one with the scars We'll make it happen. I have said it before that my goal in life is to meet all the folks at VR.org that will tolerate me...you would be on that list

You must have missed that thread Lewis Picks below I'm going back to Avon venoms, I had planned that on the '99 when I replaced the Michelins. Like I mention though, they are good tires and I would run them right up with the Avon's for performance.

Lew, This info was passed onto me from the company that performed the inspection. Perhaps I heard it wrong but it would make very good sence to me to think that you would need to install them as deep as possible. I personally do not like the raised reflectors, especially the ones I encountered in Louisiana (no offence to anyone who lived or lives there) If I'm not mistaken wasn't that what took down A1 Ammoniaman (Don) on his scoot when it punctured his rear tire? All I know is that if this is in fact exactly what happened, it makes it very hard for me to go back down to Louisiana and get back on I 10.....very scary no matter how you look at it

Not to be outdone with selling the 2nd genners the R/K brackets at $5 off normal price, I will extend the offer of the Driving light Brackets for you 1st genners with $5 off the normal price. http://www.venturerider.org/classifieds/showproduct.php/product/835/cat/6/limit/recent/date/1156391368 This is as cheap as I can possibly go with the DLB's and I wouldn't be able to take anything else off them and still make money. So if you have been thinking about getting a set, I can promise you that they will never be any cheaper then they are right now. I will run this sale also till Memorial Day 2008.
-
Well.... It's been quite a while since I have had a sale on any of my items that I offer to you folks....so here it is Until Memorial Day of 2008 I will be taking $5 off of the Roadking Muffler brackets http://www.venturerider.org/classifieds/showproduct.php/product/288/cat/7/limit/recent/date/1157932426 I know that some of you have been waiting till the last minute to do upgrades, so if this is one of your upgrades you can save an additional $5
