Call in sick with a bad case of PMS (Parked Motorcycle Syndrome)!!!
-
Went for a ride today with two of my Hardley riding co-workers. One has a stock Road King and the other just bought a Police Road King, that was turned in at the end of a two year lease. We made about a 12 miles of a 35 mile trip around the Natchez Trace when the fellow with the Police bike pulled in to a rest area, cause he needed to check for leaks. I just sat there and smiled! He was marveling at how quick that bike is as it would jump right up on 90, before he shifted into 6th gear. I need to let him ride my RSV...

Got the Ajure "bargains" installed

Be careful, as some have said they will crack if you tighten the clamp too tight. Well, I thought I was being careful and no cracks, but after riding it almos a 100 miles today, I see the right one has a crack starting from the bottom running straight up the middle. Oh, well that matches the boo-boo in the left side of the fairing... -
Can't swap with someone Dave?

Head-Set Pig Tail Holder - Tank Placement ?
wes0778 replied to Cougar's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I fastened the factory holder down under one of the chrome cover bolts. I need to zip tie the plug to the holder. Also, I disconnect the pigtail at my helmet and store it in the tank bib when I'm not using it. -

If Texting is her main thing, you might wanna check out T-Mobile's SideKick Slide. This is "The Thing" in the deaf world! That is all they do with them. This is what my deaf son has. The set itself is fairly expensive, around $300.00, but T-Mobile offers an unlimited text, internet and email for about $40.00/ month for the sidekick. That does not include any voice calls. Since he has no need for voice, we have that turned off.

Looked for it on their website, couldn't find it. I wonder if it was discontinued before the passing lights? -

Root Canals, I've had 4. Turn up the GAS and bring me down when you are finished.

Finally got a decent day to work on the scoot! Mid 60s today and not a cloud in the sky. Ran some errands (only about 40 miles) and then thought might as well install the Ajure halogen passing light bulbs. A side note, got tired of trying to hold the inner mounting rings in place. So being the redneck that I am I enlisted the help of the good ole Yellow 3M!!! Won't see it anyway, but they ain't flopping around in there. Now just waiting on dark to see where they are pointed.

Good Idea, Brad!!! Boomer we won't scare the neighbors TOO BAD!!! :cool10:

If he hasn't already sold it, Squidley has/had one for sale, look in the classified section.

I would suspect you now need to make the checks out to: "The Estate of John Smith" and continue to mail them to the same address. Maybe even send them return receipt required.

No-No-No, unplug the factory wiring to the lower horn and tie it off. Then run a short wire from one horn terminal (ground) to one ot the horn mounting bolts, then connect the other lower horn terminal to the #87 terminal of the same relay that sends power to the Stebel air horn. The only factory wiring you end up using are the two wires that were originally connected to the factory right rear horn. Those two wires should now be hooked to the #85 and #86 terminals on the Stebel relay. The #30 terminal should have a fused 14ga (or larger) wire run to the positive terminal on the battery.

Yes, disconnect the factory plug to the left lower horn. http://venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?p=420762#post420762
