    Haven't responded yet because every time I start to I get so mad I'm afraid of going off on a rant. Took her to Doctor Tuesday and he also feels the opportunity to find out the cause of the problem was missed because the Pediatric G.I. specialist wouldn't come to the Hospital because of the holiday. Unknown to me at the time the Hospital called her Doctor who was in Colorado and told him about the specialist refusing to come. He then told them to call University of Michigan Hospital and have her transferred there and to have me take her. That is NOT what they did. They wanted me to just take Her to U of M emergency and try and convince them to admit Her without calling and without transfer paperwork. Her Doctor is on the board at the Hospital which will be investigating what happened. He also said the reason the Hospital couldn't force the specialist to come or do anything about it is because so many specialists have left the area and the state very few hospitals have the proper specialists on staff and have to rely on specialists that go from hospital to hospital at their convenience. So my Daughter is on hold taking medicine for her stomach while her doctor confers with U of M hospital on what the next step should be. The one good thing is I now have her doctors personal phone number and if or when she suffers another attack I'm to call him direct so he can get things rolling in the right direction from the start.     It's a great ride, we stayed at motels and the rates are cheaper Mon-Thur. Before you set a date go online and check the dates that they expect the Black Fly hatches. You don't want to be up there when the black flies are out. We stayed at a nice motel about 20 miles east of Marathon that had a restaurant and the lady that owned it went to the docks every morning to get fresh white fish. Ate a lot of white fish on that trip. No gas stations from Suit Saint Marie to Wawa, some people say there are but the only 2 we saw were closed for the summer. Allow time for the Kewanee peninsula, best road in Michigan is up there. Only rooms we had reserved was the one East of Marathon, had no problems getting rooms anywhere else.

    They did x-rays and a cat scan and nothing showed up, but a doctor did say that sometimes an inflamed appendix will not show up. He described just what you did but the surgeon on call overruled him. I'm going to bring this up to the doctor she has to see Wednesday. Thanks.

    A few of you know my Daughter Abigail was admitted into the hospital December 27th with severe stomach pain. She was discharged last night when pain subsided. They don't know what happened because the specialist they needed refused to come to the hospital because it was the holidays. They kept her on morphine and wouldn't sign the papers to have her transferred to University of Michigan hospital where they said she needed to be. Been an ongoing problem for two years but usually only lasted a few hours so by the time she got to a doctor it was over and they couldn't find a reason. This time it lasted for 6 days, she couldn't eat or drink and she lost 12 pounds, and they did very little to find the cause of the problem. So starting Wednesday she starts seeing doctors for follow up so they can tell me they don't know why and they need to see her when she's having the pain. I better stop before I start ranting. Wish her luck.

    WOW, got on the site today to see if football target was met yet and it's already old news. My Daughter was admitted into the Hospital December 27th and just got out yesterday so I was sleeping at the hospital and was out of the loop. Glad to see the cold weather riders are still playing.

    I can relate to that statement. For you Southerns I guess it's pretty when you get it once or twice every few years, but when you are stuck with the snow and the COLD for 3 or 4 months it's not so pretty anymore.

    Strange thing happened to me today, I got an e-mail from ME to ME trying to sell me prescription drugs. I of course didn't open it but it was addressed to my e-mail address FROM my e-mail address. How do I address this issue?

    Don't know what year Taurus you have but sounds like the famous Taurus heater core. The Taurus I had the labor was $500.00 to change it. Everything from the steering wheel to the firewall has to come off to get to it. Now get this, The ex-wife used to throw everything up onto the dash, so when they got down to the heater core they found a Bic lighter had worked it's way down from the defroster vent and wedged itself in the trap door that closes to stop outside air from coming in. (it moves open or shut when you move temperature control) Had the new heater core installed anyway because car was 11 years old and didn't want to pay that labor again.

    Now don't forget as soon as we put jumper cables on it from my van it started right up. He would keep the rpm's up and go. As soon as he had to slow down or stop, it would stall. A quick jump and off he'd go. But the battery would be fully charged when he got home and checked it. Like the old chevy starters used to do when the armature would go bad. Up here we used to call it starter ride. BUT the old chevy starter problem it would drag and barely turn over unless you jumped it. His Gold Wing would do nothing until you jumped it. Just my observation from being the rescuer.

    Our area at the Michigan meet&Eat at Maxie's will have it's own pool table. So I will have a trophy made up and we will have a single elimination pool tournament. Does NOT matter if you ever played before of not, smack them balls and see where they land. Winner gets a trophy and bragging rights. Now as far as letting me know who is attending or not. The only reason I wanted a number of people attending is for the special menu. Mike Abraham is a gourmet cook and I wanted some of his razzle dazzle specialize creations to tantalize your taste buds. BUT if the comment number is low I will have him make up a simple menu. Does not matter if you say you are attending of not, last minute attendees are welcome. Now I'm going all out on this to make it the best M&E I can so hope all you can make it. Hoping to make it an annual thing. See you all on the 15th....Karl:fatsmiley: Updates on Hotel rates soon.

    Was just watching the news about the 402 in Canada is closed due to ice and snow. They were showing snowmobiles out helping people. Bad situation and hope everybody is OK. But what I found interesting is how the newscaster ended his report. Said "In Port Huron until further notice, Canada is Closed"
