  1. Saw this today over on the Delphi forum. Thought you all would appreciate it! http://www.fredericky.com/images/dumb.pdf
  2. Will someone be my friend??
  3. I ride in all kinds of weather, rain , fog, mist, you name it. I use the stock Yamaha shield, looking through it. Yes there are times it fogs up and makes it difficult to see, but I have never felt it a problem. I wear a 1/2 helmet so my only protection is the shield and I ride two up alot. I use pledge on my shield and it beads and sheds nicely. I will probably get a clearview someday so I can use rainx, but do not like the look of the vent, so I won't get that.
  4. I use a MIO 310x and can be found on Ebay new in the box for $199. It has MP3 and runs off the auxilarry power. I have installed splitter in the fairing on the AUX jack so the voice commands go through there and override the music. Chaos also uses one of these. I move it between my cars and the bike. I love it!
  5. I am running the Avon's and got 15,500miles on the rear and still running the front. Love the way they handle in EVERY condition Rain, road grooves, Bridges, SNOW , whoops not snow:whistling: I do like them alot.
  6. Excellent Post. Now I hope everyone reads it.
  7. So, did you get it picked up? How do you like? I ended up not getting to ride any
  8. Same thing it seems with too many dealers and all businesses in general. Customer service is the exception and no longer the rule. Same thing I went on a Rant about over on the Touring Hogs forum. My Yamaha dealer made me so mad, I've been out looking at HD's. I know the dealership I'm going to and they are TOP Notch.
  9. I have the MIO 310x and if I want to take a specific route other than what is calculated, I enter a VIA Point and it will take me down the road and adjust the route to my end destination accordingly. Jay
  10. Ok then head up to IL for a Saturday M&E!
  11. You better get some pictures posted, before the Rule Enforcement Police come after you.
  12. Thank you Don. I appreciate it. Jay
  13. I had a 2003 V*1100 30K miles in 18 months, then to the 05 RSTD 15k miles in 7 months before I totalled it. Picked up my 03 Venture with 10K miles on it and one year later 33K miles. I love the Venture more than any of them because of the Trunk, stereo & fairing. I like to ride long trips and the extra storage capacity, tunes and protection from the fairing meet all my needs. Liked the RSTD,but didn 't like having to add a bag to the backrest luggage rack for all my trips.
  14. Send The dates to Don so he can get it added to the Calendar too.
  15. Thank you sir. I really want to get down for this one, so you can buy me a
  16. I would like to start planning vacation time for 2008. I found the dates for the International and VIP, but they are not on the rallies page. What about Maintenance Day? You brave enough to do it again Don? Eureka Springs? Vogel replacement? Ecks Natchez ride? Any others?? I know for me the sooner I know dates, the more likely I am to attend. If we could get them in the Rallies forum, on the calendar and on the Rallies link that would be perfect.
  17. Well, I didn't just pick the name RoadKill out of thin air I have hit and been hit so many times its not even funny anymore. :crying:Birds, squirells, dogs, cats, racoon, possum, rabbits. But on the other hand I've avoided way more than I've hit. I immeadiately downshift and slow then gas it into the manuver I need to make. I try to follow the NASCAR rule of thumb Aim for it and it probably won't be there by the time you arrive.
  18. I have to chime in too. I was going through withdrawl on vacaton. Glad for everyone I've met and am going to meet. Jay
  19. By law you can request to be placed on the do not call list. I used to work in the reporting area of a Collection company and we had to maintain a list of phone numbers not to call. I think its the FDCPA, but I'll research and send you a PM. Jay
  20. It must be something like that because I have no intereference in either my XM radio or my GPS/MP3 combo. Maybe the splitter is not plugged in tightly inside the fairing. The only thing I wish is that the Boostaroo was just a little smaller.
  21. Can't find any pictures of it. What did he get?? I'm about ready to do the same:whistling:
  22. I bought one of these and it works great. Battery lasts forever. I turned it on when we left on vacation and never turned it off till we got home 7 days later and its still working. Before it for my MP3 or XM I had to have the volume on 25+, sometimes 30. Now 14 -18 depending on wind noises and the day. I just velcro it to the device I want to boost at the time. Do a Google on Boostaroo and you can get more info. Jay
  23. Ok. I finally found the post with your new bike. Boy was it hard keeping quiet, but Nance made me promise It really looks nice for a 1st Gen I'll probably ride Saturday if you want to meet in Lincoln or something. Jay
  24. Made it back from Florida and Disney. It was pretty Hot, but my son had a great time. My best part of Vacation was getting home Little cool here, and a big switch from Florida. Don't have to go back to work till Monday, so I'm heading out for some riding today. Have I missed anything major?? There were just way to many posts to get through them all.
  25. I've been with State Farm for everything, Cars, Trucks, Boats, MC, House forever and have been nothing but satisfied too. Its nice getting those Mutual Fund payout checks too:dancefool: When I wrecked my 05 they ended up paying more than I paid for it new and it had 20K miles. As an FYI anyone who has looked at SF before for MC insurance might want to check back again. They are becoming much more competitive in our growing market. Jay
