  1. The Diamond R and the Utopia are so similar that I suspect that if this is a problem, that it will be a problem with both of them. Is that correct?
  2. Thanks...wasn't sure if the ones going to Canada had showed up yet.
  3. I posted this on December 20th, 2007. I assume that any dealings with him since that time were NOT as a result of any posts here because I removed his ads and banned him at that time. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showpost.php?p=158341&postcount=53
  4. I don't know if he visits here now. He has been banned from the forum for exactly this reason. He would never reply to emails from me and others about these problems. If you have a telephone number or email for him that would probably be your best chance of contacting him.
  5. Just wanted to check if all of you have received your patches. I think that the only people who may not have received them are wkboard and maybe seabeetom. Those should be there soon. If you have paid and not received yours, please let me know. I have a LOT of patches still and also still have some VR Guardian Bells if anybody wants some. Don
  6. Great pictures of what was obviously a fantastic trip. I can tell that from your daughter's lovely smile. I'm not a HUGE Gibson fan except for electrics. I will probably own a Les Paul one of these days. That has always been my favorite electric. For now, I've been wanting a 12 string. Finally bought one tonight on Ebay. Got a GREAT deal on a nearly new Seagull 12. Now I just have to wait for it to get here. I've tried a lot of 12 strings lately and really hadn't decided 100% on which one I wanted but the Seagull was one of my preferences. I love the slightly wider neck on it. I already have a Seagull S6 Cutaway and like it a lot.
  7. But....he rides a HARLEY!!!! That is what got you into this mess to begin with.

    Big Rear

Yes, I remember that report. It was the Metzler and it was the one size larger that they claimed was approved.
  9. ahhhh....that is why I couldn't find anything. It's all somebodies wish list. Nice job on his write-up though.
  10. I have no reason to doubt the info but I wonder where it came from. I've searched and found nothing online anywhere. I'm probably just missing it. Unless they really changed the styling, it's just not for me. Sorry...I love the cruiser styling of the RSV. Put an 1800 in it and THEN I MAY consider trading.
  11. Email sent. Thanks for doing this Eck.
  12. The newspaper article would look a little different when Eileen catches me doing the spanking. You would need to check the obituaries to find the story.
  13. This isn't going to end folks. Everybody just has to make their own decisions I guess. I would just say that if you have ANY doubt, don't do it.
  14. Don't they have the Yamaha version? I think they both work well but from what I've seen, the Yamaha version looks much better. UNLESS Baker has changed their design. I haven't looked at their's lately.
  15. It's certainly not in my budget. I do expect to see something from Harley in the near future though.
  16. Here you go. http://www.diamondraccessories.com http://www.utpr.com
  17. Or a trike version. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Must-See-Unique-Harley-Davidson-VRod-Trike_W0QQitemZ250230788165QQihZ015QQcategoryZ49997QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem#ebayphotohosting
  18. I said long ago that Harley might do well to build a touring bike around the VRod engine. I expect they will do so at some point but at least one person got tired of waiting. Here is what he came up with.
  19. Sorry, I should have posted differently. My comments are listed within the quoted text.
  20. Marshall's site has been linked here many times. I think I even have an article and link from him in the tech library. No problem that I can see.
  21. hmmm.....I'm actually a bit disappointed. I was looking forward to seeing the tattoo. I guess I will have to settle for spanking you.
  22. I would have to see some supporting documentation to accept all of these "Facts".
  23. I'm not going to say much more, I've already stated my opinion on this issue and there is no reason to do so again. I hate to see any further confusion though regarding other tires. As far as I know, it was never determined that Squidley's problem was due to tire failure. It may well have been damaged by something in the road. That can happen to any tire. Also, I may be wrong but I don't THINK he was pulling his trailer. I know that there have been problems with the Metzler tires but I know of no such problems with the Michelin and hate to see such information being spread around unless it has been confirmed that there is a problem. I've worn out two Michelin tires with no problems at all. Most of the miles were riding two up and pulling a trailer that is usually overloaded. If it does turn out to be a problem with that tire, one failure does NOT mean that they are all bad. I know of very few car tire brands that have never experienced a failure at one time or another.
  24. Not a dumb question at all. Here is a write-up that explains it pretty well. Since the time it was posted, Diamond R has started making and selling them. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=492
  25. I'm willing to participate. If you get enough without me, let the freebies go to the other members.
