  1. Did you look in the classifieds? I think there are a couple there that fit that description.
  2. Most of our long distance riding is two up and pulling a Bushtec trailer is is probably overloaded. I used to run about 30 lbs. on a daily basis and pumped it up to about 45 when two up with the trailer. That made it a bit stiff but these bikes already sit about an inch low in the rear and handling was really poor by the time you loaded it up. The leveling links were the best thing I have ever done for that situation. It levels the bike and allows me to keep the air pressure down at around 30-35 lbs. even when loaded and the handling through the twisties is still great. I know that the leveling links are the answer to those that are inseam challenged but they are a GREAT improvement if you can take the added height.
  3. If that were the case, I wouldn't be talking to you folks at ALL. I just downloaded and installed Firefox 3 and that solved the problem. I guess I just let myself get too far behind the times.
  4. No, 2.0.0.15 Maybe I'll try 3. I didn't even know it was out.
  5. Maybe it's just me then. Possibly my connection here. I'm sitting in front of a hotel while on a conference call. Maybe I should be paying attention to the call.
  6. It only happens here when I hit the refresh button on the browser. Have you tried that?
  7. Yesterday, my computer downloaded and installed an upgrade to my Firefox browser. I now notice that if I refresh the page here at the forum or on the home page, the logos, banners and some most of the thread buttons and etc. go away. When it happens, I can click on forums or home and they come back but a refresh turns them off again. This appears to be totally related to this latest Firefox update and I cannot reproduce the problem with IE7. I will do some research tonight and try to find a fix.
  8. It is certainly different. I only rode maybe 10-15 miles. It take some adjustment to how you normally ride. It's not exactly like a motorcycle and not exactly like a 3 wheeler or a regular 4 wheeler either. I was actually fairly impressed but not totally comfortable in the curves but I think that after a very few miles, it would feel pretty natural. I certainly felt that I was using different muscles in my lower back and sides but I think it was because I was trying to over compensate with some body movement.
  9. They have a nylon tour pack but not a hard one. No bags yet. I would have agreed with that comment before I rode this thing.
  10. Yea, you are right. I guess I'm trying to make it sound better to me.
  11. It was $15,000.00 for the black and silver, $15,400 for the yellow. I actually like the Black/Silver best. The one that I rode was a demo with just over 3,000 miles on it. He told me that he would take $2,000.00 off of it and the warranty would start now. Warranty is 2 years.
  12. The reason that you can use RainX on the Clearview shield and not on the OEM shield is that the OEM shields and most aftermarket shields use a coating on the Lexan. Clearview does not use a coating. The RainX will cause those coatings to yellow. That being said, I've still never used RainX on my shield but I may try it one of these days.
  13. I've not heard of anybody doing it yet but I suppose you could install the rear end from a RSV. That would probably do what you want. The RSV is geared higher. I actually went the other way and installed the VMAX rear in my RSV to raiser the RPMs. I would send you mine to test except I traded it in on the VMAX rear.
  14. Yep...I agree with Buddy. Go look in the mirror and you can probably find the culprit. The only thing I can think of is that maybe you clicked on a link from somewhere else that was actually a link to the mobile site and it set the cookie? I honestly don't know how else it could have happened.
  15. They would have a really hard time with things like the VMAX rear end (looks exactly like the stock one) and things like jets. I don't really look for it to ever be a problem. Loud exhaust could turn into a problem someday though.
  16. It will be interesting to see what he comes up with for a reverse. The Spyder that I took out for a test ride yesterday had a reverse. Different than the Wing. I don't know about the new Wings but the 1500s used the starter. The Spyder uses the engine with just a small lever on the handlebar that you push and then down on the shift pedal and that puts it in reverse. Very similar to the way the reverse on my four wheeler works.
  17. Yea...but you are riding a second gen, they are talking about the sizes for the first gens. Dunlop has not yet made them for the antique bikes.
  18. I've never verified my odometer but my speedometer was off by about 7.5% before I added the Speedohealer. I think that is what most others have reported also.
  19. I like the Quad the best also. I don't know about a RSV Quad though unless they can come up with a reverse. I think I would want a reverse on that thing.
  20. I turned it off about a week ago when we were having problems with the server being slow and I was getting some memory errors. That is a custom feature that I added. I like it but the database table had already grown to almost 2 million records and it is somewhat of a memory hog. I made some other changes to the server at the same time and that may have helped as much. Not sure. I may try turning it back on later but can't promise that I will or that it will stay on if I do try again.
  21. Yes, I stayed with the original size on the front and it is the 150/80HB-16
  22. HEY...I was in "business mode"...I DID take off my tie though. I am in Hamburg, NY this week and took the opportunity to stop by and pay a visit to BongoBob. I truly enjoyed the visit. Bob is a very nice guy. I also had the privilege of meeting his lovely wife. He got the better end of THAT deal. We went out and had some lunch and then stopped by the Yamaha dealer that was across the street. They also happen to be a dealer for the Can Am Spyder. The salesman asked if I had ever ridden one and then offered to let me do so. I couldn't turn down that opportunity. I have to say, these things are a total BLAST to ride. I was very impressed with the way that it rode, handled and the power. It has a 990 Bombadier Rotax motor and he told me it makes 104HP. It has plenty of power for whatever type of riding you like to do. I was surprised to look down and see that I was running 70 MPH at one point and thought I was running about 55. I'm thinking that I want one. I KNOW that I can't afford another toy. So....not for me at this time. I really think though that if you added the tour pack, a trailer hitch, stereo system, CB, and a fairing...I think it would actually be a LOT of fun to tour on.
  23. I've seen that guy but can't remember the name...darn it...I really need a picnic too.
  24. WOW...too many stories lately about deer and now we have to add pigs to our list. Glad you came out as well as you did. Those little 200 lb. piggies are pretty solid.
