    HELP

It's usually caused by old files in your browsers cache. You need to clear your browsers cache and then it will probably work.
  2. You have several options. Diamond R Accessories makes a very nice one. They are also GREAT to deal with and are a very good supporter of VentureRider.org http://diamondraccessories.com Utopia also makes a nice one. http://www.utpr.com Both fold forward but neither are quick detachable. The only ones I know of that are quick and easy to remove are those that come with custom seats and plug into a hole is the seat. Corbin, Travelcade, a few others offer such custom seats and backrests but you are going to pay BIG MONEY for them. I have the Corbin on mine and love it but you are talking upwards of $700.00 for a new seat, backrest, etc.
  3. I MAY be wrong but when I read Craig's post, I got a chuckle out of it. I took it as some great sarcasm. Though there IS a bit of logic in what he said, I didn't take it seriously. I can't read his mind so I could be wrong.
  4. To be honest, that does concern me a bit. Changing the air going in could certainly mess up your mixture. That is also why I'm reluctant at this time to add it to the tech library, I would hate to put it there with no good readings on what it does to the air/fuel mixture. I don't THINK you are hurting anything but I'm just not 100% sure.
  5. Looks very nice to me. I have the chrome covers from Yamaha and I like them but they are way overpriced and the chrome is starting to peel on mine. I will need to have them re-chromed or replace them with something else. You did a great job.
  6. I've never had a BAD whine on my '99. It has a bit but nothing I can't live with. I did install the VMAX rear end a couple of years ago. It is a great change in my opinion but did not affect the whine at all. I think all it would do is change the speed at which you hear it as you will be running higher RPMS at any given speed.
  7. Yea, I forgot about the post count again. I may just leave it. Just more customizing that I have to do anytime I do an upgrade. Yes, very good, you found one of the new features.
  8. The Zumo XM units are too expensive. I'm very likely going to buy one of the refurbished units off Ebay. They are about $95.00 including shipping and a one year warranty.
  9. From the home page of the forum, scroll down to the bottom of the page and it will show who is in chat.
  10. Man...I would do that...but...I forgot your address...yea...that's it...forgot your address.
  11. So there is an adapter for using the XM in the car? Also, I notice that the Zumo has an XM antenna jack on the back of it. Is that not used with the bike mount?
  12. Thanks...now that is what I was looking for. I hope it will work.
  13. I agree that the XM is better equipment. BUT....none of that helps me in using the unit back and forth between my car and bike. I hate paying for two subscriptions when I just use one of those at a time.
  14. Yea, got that one fixed. Also found that the link at the bottom showing members in chat was also not working. Got it figured out also. There were some other small things that I found why you folks weren't looking. Probably still some things but nothing that I have found yet. There are also some small new features. I think I'll wait and see if anybody notices them though. Nothing major.
  15. OK....this new Zumo 550 has really complicated my life. It has caused me to have to make more decisions and I'm tired of making decisions. So here is the latest dilemma. I presently have a Sirius radio. I actually have three of them. One in the house, one in my wife's car and one that I move back and forth between the bike and my work car. It makes no sense to me to pay for a fourth subscription to have different ones on the bike and my work car as I only use one of them at a time. I like the idea though of having the GPS, MP3 and Satellite radio in one unit and therefore not having my IPOD, Sirius AND the GPS until all cluttering up my handlebars. I've already found out that even though Sirius and XM are now the same company, they will not let you add an XM subscription to your Sirius account and therefore get it at the reduced rate. So...I would have to get a new XM account to use the XM for the Garmin. Then I would want to cancel the Sirius account for my car/bike but then would not have a unit for my work car. So..after all this...I guess my question is has anybody tried using the Zumo with the XM receiver in a car? Will the antenna pick up the stations if it is on the dash or somewhere in the car? This is ALL so dang confusing.
  16. We have some equipment in a room in the basement. I can tell you though, it hardly EVER gets used.
  17. Part of the software upgrade. I am still working on a LOT of little issues.
  18. Looks like this might be a nice option for anybody without a stereo that wishes to add one. http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcycle-radio/jensen-jhd910-radio/
  19. I think I would just steal the one I had already cleaned off.
  20. It is absolutely OK. I think you have my address already. For what it's worth, I've had the Samsons and the Khromewerks. Noise level was similar but the Samsons may have been a little louder. I do think that the finish and workmanship was better on the Khromewerks though. Also, the tips on the Khromewerks can be turned down, out or at a 45 degree angle. The MAJOR part is done. Files are updated and new version is installed. Now I just have a LOT of templates to update.
  21. OK folks....as bad as I hate to tackle it....I am getting ready to upgrade our software again. This is a bigger upgrade than the last couple and you WILL find some things missing until I get it all worked out. The functionality as far as posting and etc. should be fine but some of the custom changes I have made over time will take some sorting out. So....I'm going to get started. Hopefully there will be no MAJOR problems.
  22. No problem. Just let me know when you are ready.
  23. These folks have a lot of stuff. I've dealt with them and they are very good. Not always as cheap as finding parts from an individual but much cheaper than new. http://stores.ebay.com/PinWall-Cycle-Parts-Inc
  24. Yes, that is YOU Spear.
  25. Yes, that link in the first post is working for me now. I made some changes that will hopefully solve this.
