  1. Yep, I finally saw this one last week. The problem is, I watch VERY few commercials as I use the DVR and just skip through them. Even if I'm watching a show on TV that is not recorded, I'll put it on pause and go do something else for 15 to 20 minutes so that I can then skip through the commercials. As I was skipping through them though, I just happened to get a glimpse of this one and went back. Very cool.
  2. Yea, I know that Detroit is not representative of the rest of the state. I've been all over Michigan and there are some beautiful areas. I was in Traverse City about 5 weeks ago and with the leaves changing colors, it was beautiful. I've also been all around Holland and of course the UP. Unfortunately though, I spend too much of my time in the Detroit area and it's just not one of my favorite places.
  3. OK....those are funny but I have to call a foul on that last one. I go to Michigan often and I don't THINK it would be a local call. I'm not even 100% sure that you could get through. Of course most of my opinion is based upon too many visits to Detroit.

    Help!

A lot of times you can just tap on the fuel bowls and it will free itself. Once it does, try running some Seafoam or other good carb cleaner through it and you MAY be OK.
  5. LOL....if it were up to me....I wouldn't go ANYWHERE for a while. I am truly sick of going going going and going.
  6. HEY...don't worry about me. I would rather that we talk about YOU.
  7. First of all, have you even checked your PayPal account to see if the money is actually there? Do NOT click on ANY link in an email that appears to come from PayPal. They will tell you that they NEVER send links to your account via email. If you entered PayPal through a link in that email and logged in using your username and password, you have already revealed your account information to the scammer. ONLY go to PayPal by opening your browser and typing in the URL to PayPal and logging in from there. NEVER from a link in an email. If you log in properly and the money actually does appear to be there, contact PayPal and report it to them. I think that they can confirm that it is a scam. Either way, there is no possible way that I would send this guy a dime of money. None of it is a customary way to do business through PayPal. If you DID enter PayPal through a link in that email, you need to go to PayPal immediately and change your password and etc.
  8. Had a great dinner in Buffalo tonight with Taters. She is such a lovely and charming lady and I really enjoyed getting out of the hotel for once. The only bad part was that Big Tom was with her also and he even brought Kenny for backup so I had to be a perfect gentleman. Even still, it was a very enjoyable evening. My apologies to BongoBob, Becky and the rest of the NY group. It was somewhat a last minute minute decision to come here and I actually wasn't even going to mention that I was here until I happened to swap an unrelated message with Tom. I will be back soon and promise to give a few days notice before I come here next time.
  9. Yea, that is closer. Here is one of the charts that I was talking about. I do have the Dyna ignition on mine and as you can see, it helps a little bit but not much. The main thing it gives me is a higher redline.
  10. I've not had mine dynoed but have seen a chart where a couple were. You are right on the money. I don't remember exactly but it was just a bit over 70 at the rear wheel.
  11. I agree....GREAT people at Sierra. I've used and recommended them for years.
  12. I agree...I actually keep my idle at around 900 and I have a tach on mine but it's really not a big deal that the carbs be synced right at 1000. Before I got the tach, I just cranked up the idle till I could just hear it come up a bit and figured that was good enough.
  13. I think SkyDoc has bought it. Look up a few posts. He is supposed to pick it up this weekend.
  14. I would send them an email or call them and ask. I know that they used to offer them.
  15. Thanks...I'll get it added tonight. What is the location?
  16. duh.....ok....that was just a test. Do NOT change your time machines...I repeat...it was only a test.
  17. Maybe and I don't know that she has everything in CDs, I just know that she has taken a HUGE hit. CDs are pretty much low risk also and a lot of folks that had money in "better places" lost their tails over the last couple of years. What little I have is in a 401k and it didn't do so well either. I have mine invested in one of the lower risk mutual funds and still took a good hit on it. A lot of it has come back now but it still lost.
  18. OK folks, I have updated the ones that I have dates for. The good news is that there are only 132 days until spring.
  19. I too believe that I could make it on the million. Not sure that I have that many more years left anyway. They say that you are only as old as you feel...that would make me about 130 right now. If I were to obtain a million dollars RIGHT NOW though, I would not quit my job yet. I would have to wait until tomorrow morning to get anybody at the company on the phone.
  20. I'm not retired but my mother is. She pretty much lives off the return of her savings but you certainly could NOT call that a fixed income the way it has dropped over the past few years. Every time one of her CDs matures and she has to renew it, she takes cut in her income.
  21. Well, I hate plugging a tire and seldom do so but I have in the past. My decision was always based upon the location of the puncture and the size of the hole. In my humble opinion, that one is in a great location to be plugged. If it was up on the sidewall, I would say to not do it but that one is in the center of the tread and not a large hole. To be honest, that tire looks close enough to being worn out that I would probably replace it anyway but if it came down to plugging it or not riding, I would plug it. I plugged a Metzler hears ago on my Harley FXRD that had a nail in almost the exact same place as that one. The tire was only a week old and I just decided that I wasn't going to throw it away. That plug ended up lasting the normal life of the tire.
  22. Yep....good luck trying to get that 5% a year right now. Depending on what your income level is now, you would have to be very careful to live on the interest from a million dollars at this time. I'm thinking that if you lived only on the interest, you would be just slightly above the poverty level.
  23. I would like to ride that bike. I wouldn't like to ride it very FAR...but maybe a 1/4 mile or so.
  24. I don't think you'll find anything major. Sounds like mostly bug fixes. Here is a post from the Tapatalk forum owners area. Most of the new features need the app side to follow-up, plus few bug fixes. New features include Full Moderation, Admob, and improve support with Windows Phone 7 and WebOS app" - Full moderation support - Added Reply-All in Private Messaging - Special characters login issue fixes - Fixed post content not displayed if characters like " We are also working on the rewrite of attachment support to include multiple attachment and ability to upload any file (given the forum supports it), would be handy to share video or PDF files on the go (probably only works in Android). This will be included in next release.
  25. From your description, it sure sounds like the bike may be totaled but at least your not and that's the only thing that is really important. We are very glad that you are hear to tell the story.
