The baffels in your collector box have come loose causing the rattle. I heard of a Quick fix "other then taking it apart & rebuilding it" & that is to lay the bike on its side (on soft ground) take a 10 # sledge hammer & give the middle of the collecter box a gentel but firm SMACK.............:canada:.

Just wondering why they would put a Vin# on a removable piece of frame. How many would bother to check it against the steering head??? Now don't everyone go running out to the garadge & check your Vins :canada:
-
Is the piece of frame that the Vin# is attached to (lower right hand side that needs to be removed to slide the motor out) on the 1st gens interchangable???? ie can I take a lower motor frame with Vin# attached from an 84VR & exchange it onto a 90VR ??? :canada:

Heading to "Cody Round UP" Outside of Butte the 85VR s engine cuts out, becuse its rolling down hill it sputters backfires as throttle is applied. Dash lites go out, rolling down the hill to catch up to lead rider coast for about a 2 miles, when the bike stops the head lite is very dim & goes out when ignition is turned. Left Vancouver with new battery, bike has run great all the way till now. Got towed to Best Westeren In Butte, No MC shops open Sun/Mon. Help or ideas are needed........... :canada:

You will need about 6' of # 4 gage mulit strand (battery/welding) cable & 6, 4 gage copper end caps with a 1/4" hole. Both +&- cables measure about 31" & 6" from solinoide. Solder all end caps. :canada: -
