Correct, a line fitting is loosened & re-tightened at the high point, until the air is out of there.... A real PITA, it is a bit easier to do, with all the right side fairing plastic off, for access....... -

OEM or from Racetech...... Also the damper rod will need a 15/16th head bolt with nuts locked to bolt & socket with a few extentions (alternate method used by some, is a broom handle) to hold it still if not using an impact gun with the bottom hex bolt on removal. There should be a writeup in the 1st gen tech library.

83 Venture Cyclecomm cb System

Yes, the 83 Amp has a 6 Pin DIN jack for CB. He will need to use a right angle DIN plug at the amp, I found them available at Digikey. -

Nope, they fall under the same heading as, the other Scams out there, not worth anything............. But they must have it $$$$ (just in case it might work), in an effort to just barely, keep up to the 1st gens............

You have a better chance on a 1st gen, than on a 2nd gen. Due to the frame mounted fairing, taking the brunt of the impact..... I am speaking from experience here, as I took out a full sized Mule Doe @ 60 Mph. I was riding the scoot 3 weeks later, after getting a coolant tube. Damage pics are in my gallery.
