Make sure you got everyone's phone number for your trip. If you want when you head to NC I can get folks together to meet up with you. We can all have lunch together. Plus I'm sure the folks in the other states would do the same. Not to mention just in case you need anything. Margaret

The temps go up and down a lot at this time of year. Last weekend we had really cold temps and snow in some areas and a few days later we were up to 80. Now we're cold again but we'll be warm this coming week. Just best to check the weather for their extended forecast for where you intend to head. Margaret

This weekend wouldn't be good they probably have snow. Have a weather system coming in we'll have rain on the coast but the mountains will get snow. Our 83 has well over 100,000 miles on her. The 86 I'm not sure about but he's been riding that one most of the past year and he rides everyday. As long as you do the routine maintenance on her she should last you a long time. Oh and those 2nd gens they'll tease but the oldest of them has just reached 10yrs old. We'll see how well they hold up as the years add up on them. :whistling:Anyway welcome to the site. Oh and enjoy all the miles you are going to put on your bike. Margaret

Glad you aren't going to let them work on your bike. That's just plain scary that they don't know anything about it. Plus Eck will do a much better job on synching your carbs. Margaret

If you're gonna get into the market do your homework. Check out the company you're looking at really well. As my uncle always said "if you can't afford to lose the money don't play". Well if Lowell shows up stock up on beer and coffee. Also need some real good cushions on the couch, chairs, whatever you sit on for the stories will keep you spellbound. Then when you get up you might be able to feel your bum. Margaret
