    Notice the nest and holes in filter ! Not hard to do, just time consuming. Hung a new E3 on the rear and watched Squidbilly episodes on laptop while doing this.

    Something for you folks to think about. I drove long haul for a while and have been in many truck stops, ( as I am sure all truck drivers have ). Most of the time unless it was just a fuel stop I would get out and walk around to stretch my legs. I can't tell you how many nails, bolts and pieces of metal I always picked up in these areas. In one truck stop I filled up a paper sandwich bag a third of the way full with this stuff. The next time you stop at one, just walk around and look and you will see what I am talking about. Of course keep one eye on traffic, you can get wacked real easy in a truck stop, by a truck or a car.

    Keep the 1st Gen as your daily go to work and grocery getter, and the wing for the weekends and trips. That's what I do.

    No bag on the 02 models, A model means ABS.

    Eck, Make sure you check the frame real good for cracks, esp. with trailer towing. Make sure the frame welds recall has been done. This is on the 2001 thru 2004 models, but it is a good idea to check all years on a periodic bases to make sure everything is copasedic ( did I spell that right ? ). You probably know about this but thought I would mention it.

    My 86 gets between 40 to 42 mpg when I stay around 55 t0 60 mph. She has about 67 k on her and still runs great. I sinc the carbs about twice a year.

    Go to their websight, will be available in 2 hybrid versions and one all electric. It is not a stolen Carver, they have licensed the tilt tech from Carver. The prototypes are a lot better streamlined than the Carver. They are trying to achieve 100 mpg with the hybrid, we will see!

    I have my 86 Venture and my 05 Wing. If the new Ventures come with the VMAX in 09 0r 10 I might be switching to a new Venture if the make they styling a little more modern. I don't care for the cd player option. They are a waste of money, mp3 player is the way to go.

    Hate to here about this but its been happening and is going to keep on happening. I hate to say it but I ride with the attitude that every SOB is trying to kill me and that keeps me alert. It may may sound like it would take the fun out of it but it doesn't. It helps keep me aware of my surroundings. Thats one reason I don't like the idea of cell phone hookups for bikes or for cars. Keep your mind on your driving. I won't even discuss the helmet issue, its a no brainer, (litterally).
