The celebration is about a birth, some 2000 years ago of a man child who was both God and man. He came to pay a debt we could not in any way pay ourselves, so that the offer of eternal paradise could be a reality. No where in history has a birthday celebration lasted for this long. Family, friends and the gathering are quite an important part of having a party, but lets not forget who the center should be. He is watching and waiting.
