Been in the LA area for a few days , just wondering if there is any members in the area.

It seems my volume knob quit working. The speakers beep when I change FM stations. No display when rotating the volume control. This is true for radio, cassette and aux. All other displays work and I can cycle through every selection. There is sound when CB is on but I cannot control it with the colume knob. SP is selected not HS. Just wondering if anyone else has had this propblem before I begin tearing things apart. Semper Fi Mark

I was just wondering how many of these wonderful bikes you fine people may have owned in all these years. Just to start, I have owned and still do..ONE. But would like to have a garge full of them :mo money:but..... Sqidley says he has owned 8.. That might be a record. Nothing against other bikes, I was just wondering about the Venture and Tour Deluxe. Thanks.... -
no, this isn't a joke ... but I figgured it would get somebody's attention I'll admit I am not very experienced when it comes to towing a trailer so I got to wondering.... do you put grease in the trailer tongue where the tow ball goes or just leave it dry?

Saw a White 2nd Gen parked in the driveway about 1/2 mile west of Wautoma about half an hour ago. Just wondering if it was anyone here. We are on the way to Air Venture in Oshkosh for the week.

Couple of questions about the new unit: 1) With NavWeather, it shows you the current radar image. Does it indicate direction of storm movement and speed as well? 2) The Garmin website says it is NOT geocaching friendly. Just wondering if it can also be used on battery power for things like mountain biking routes, hiking routes, etc. Thanks for the info...JR

Was wondering if any of you have bought the coffee mug/holder? Had a couple of questions: 1) Does it mount on either side of the bars. In thier photos it is only shown mounted on the right side off the brake fluid resevior, was wondering if it would mount on the left off the clutch resevior? 2) Does it block access to any of the controls? Looks a little big with the handle taking up a good amount of space. I've got a friend that has the Kuryakyn version mounted on his HD, and its handy for water/coffee at stoplights or in traffic. Really good on hot days to keep hydrated. Works for him, but of course the mounts are different. As always appreciate any throughts. Ride Safe. Bob -
Here in Ohio, we are having nothing but temps in the upper 90's and high humidity. I have so many things that I need to be doing outside, but I just do not have any energy. And even riding the bike, unless it is early in the morning, or after dark at night, is not as enjoyable as usual. I feel like I am not accomplishing much on my vacation this year. I have a 08 RSTD and am only getting around 35 miles to the gallon now I believe I was getting alot better last year? Wondering what is the average folks are getting and what do you suggest? Before you say it already running SEAFOAM! thanks

Just wondering how you were doing; what week did you head out to make it to MD. was just wondering if you are bringing the Harley if you left in time to keep putting all the parts back on: you know a day of riding and then two days to get it running again. also knowing HD riders only ride from Bar to Bar or Party store to party store and have to take a break so people can see them standing out side by there bikes. WOW! its going to take you longer than i first thought to get there; i best get out the calculator and refigure it for ya:think: see ya there Dray:smile5:

I have noticed when changing my final drive oil that it has been milky, is this normal for these bikes? The last 2 rides have been almost nothing but hard rain for at least 100 miles. Just wondering if there is a bad seal or is this normal, I have no oil leaking, but I know water will get anywhere.

In case anyone missed it, just wanted to let them know that Willie Nelson no longer has his tail feathers.... After the actions at the first Potato Creek Rally, I got to wondering if there was any connection between Squidlymoving to Texas and Willie loosing his tail feathers.... :duck:

Question for those of you out there that have installed the Stebel Air Horn. Got mine installed today, and its a pretty tight fit. The upper left edge of the plastic "chrome" is practically touching the exhaust pipe. I realize this is the shiny cover and not the actual pipe, but it does get hot. Was wondering if any of you have had trouble with the plastic chrome melting? Also, in case you were wondering... the "SuperChrome" version of the Stebel is actually just shinier chromed plastic. Looks nice, but still not really chrome. Not exactly what I'd expect for $140. Thought I'd throw that out there for the benefit of others... Thanks in advance for your thoughts on the pipes/horn cover. Bob

I have only started looking and found the HJC IS-16 interesting. Has anyone an opinion on one of these that had worn one? One thing is a I noticed a year ago while skiing is that I develop anxiety with those close fitting sunglasses after about 10 minutes. I am wondering if I will experience the same thing with this helmet. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31%2BqLIkovnL._SL500_AA300_.jpg The attached image will give you an idea of the glasses I had a problem with. Dunno if it has to do with the curvature of the lens or not.

I purchased an 09 Venture new last April and have a little over 9000 miles on it now. I was in a long sweeper at highway speed and took my left hand off to set the cruise and a wobble started to come in as soon as I removed my hand. I checked the front and rear suspension, pressures and alignment and everything seemed fine. Took it out and tried it again and it did the same thing again. Have since noticed that it occurs at a lower highway speed when I am riding double. I was wondering if the scoops in the fairing could be causing this at speed when turning and also if the leveling links might help out. It stops as soon as both hands are on the bars and there aren't any impulses felt in the bars when riding under any conditions. Wondering if it is just a quirk of the bike at speed.

I've noticed an ad on Kijiji for Big Al's sale for tomorrow, April 3rd in London. When I did find his website the prices didn't seem that great, but the ad mentioned truckloads of new stock being liquidated. Anyone familiar with this outfit? I was wondering if anyone had been to one of these sales before, anyone going tomorrow? I needs me a new jacket .....

I am thinking of trailering my bike to Asheville NC May 7-13th and camping on the BPR with my 2 little dogs, was just wondering if anyone would like to go for a nice ride while I was up there.
